50. A Family's Day

"Shaga, I think Sebastian has a slight fever."

Sebastian lay with his eyes closed, maintaining steady breaths under the watchful eyes of his parents.

"We should wake him up so he can take his medicine," Shaga's voice came closer. Her soft hands, redolent with the Omega pheromones Sebastian adored, caressed his forehead.

"I don't think that's necessary. Isn't this a natural part of growing up, as he slowly discovers his identity? Can you guess what Sebastian will become?" Adrian, his father, asked. He felt his father approaching, and the hand on Sebastian's hair paused as Shaga was pulled away. "Give me my mother back!"

"I caught a whiff of his pheromones and thought Sebastian might be an Alpha, but regardless, I'm fine with whatever he becomes," Shaga spoke softly, her tone mellowing at the end.
