She looked at his body twisted into an arc, clearly in an uncomfortable position. His eyebrows furrowed, and his feet seemed eager to retract to the bed. He was probably subconsciously aware that he had not yet taken off his shoes, so he restrained himself.
Helen Blair raised her eyebrows and remembered that he had helped her a lot once before. So, she walked to his feet and took off his shoes for him.
"This is the first time I've ever taken off someone's shoes. Even my grandfather has never enjoyed this kind of treatment! Consider it a favor returned..." While speaking, she pushed his feet onto the bed.
When she looked up, she found him looking at her with a slight smile, as innocent as a child and as warm and bright as sunlight. It made her heart feel a little warm.
Then he turned his body to the side, curled up his legs, and fell asleep again, as if that smile had never appeared.
