"Robinson, if you're asking me for money again, just forget it!" Amelia Walker spoke bluntly, making it clear that 1.5 million was absolutely out of the question.
"Amelia, my friend has already returned and covered my debt, so I'm in the clear!" Robinson said, "I was too presumptuous last time, I'm sorry, Amelia. Please don't be mad at me anymore. I miss you. Can you come see me?"
Learning that his debts were no longer an issue, Amelia breathed a sigh of relief. It seemed she still held some importance in his heart, otherwise, he wouldn't seek her out after she had said so many harsh words.
Or maybe it's because he needed her to continue supporting him financially. But what did it matter? As long as the costs weren't too outrageous, she didn't care.
"Robinson, my words were too harsh last time. I was just angry, please don't blame me!" Amelia said softly.
"How could I? I understand." Robinson replied with a light laugh, while sneering in his heart.
