Episode 8

"Mmm, I admit this tastes even better than the stuff they sell at McDonald's!" I complimented Agreus about his food while I was chewing on a piece of hamburger, he just made. Funny story is that he didn't use any magic to make these.

We were still out here in the woods, literally in our own land. He taught me a few magic tricks and we turned the whole little hut next to the waterfall into an house in the woods. There was a lot of detail added into the place and it was a pretty open space. On top of that, the punishment room was still there, locked behind blackdoors with a large chain and massive lock keeping them in tact. I wondered what would happen next, because it didn't seem like I would be seeing that room anytime soon.

"Glad you like it. My father taught me how to make these, he loved to cook." said Agreus.

I realized that he never told me about his family or anything about himself other than the fact that he was some king of devils. He knew a lot about my stuff, including why family sent me here, so I was a little intrigued by him.

"Who was your father?" I asked him.

I immediately regretted it, because suddenly he became hostile.

He had this look in his eyes as if I offended him or probably poked where it was very personal to him. "That is none of your business!" He snapped.

I lost my appetite then and there. It was just a question, so I didn't get why he had to be that harsh. "So is going through my student files to look for some leverage over me!"

"Where the hell are you going?"

"I'm leaving!" I was standing up and taking my phone, so I could finally use Google maps and get the fuck back to the campus. "I actually thought that you were starting to be a little nice and I just asked you a harmless question. But you're a dick and I won't allow the likes of you to talk down on me like that!"

"You're overreacting! Sit down!"

"No!" I stormed out the front door and slammed the door shut.

I should've thought of taking my phone with my earlier and using Google maps instead of wandering off alone. Well now at least I did have my phone and I could finally get out of here.

In all honesty, it did start to feel like Agreus was becoming the first person I could get along with. But I was right all along. Eventually I would become a nuisance to him and he would want to get rid of me. No matter how many people I let into my life, they will always treat me like crap.

Returning to the campus, I went to my dorm. When I entered there was no sign of Bruce, so I assumed he was probably in another class while I just plopped down on my bed and opened one of my omegaverse comics, because I needed the distraction.

Sometimes entering the graphical fictional world helped me cope with a few stuff. Sometimes a distraction was needed, but I did make a terrible choice picking this one because it had a lot of sex that reminded me of me and Agreus.

I huffed and tossed the book aside. I couldn't understand what the big deal was with this guy and why he have me mixed emotions. When I asked him about who his father might be, he immediately yelled at me, or maybe he became defensive almost as if he was hiding something.

I didn't want to find out what reason he possibly could have to be acting that way, because for all I knew he was just being a dick, but I was curious and he did go sniff information about me against my own consent. It would only be fair if I also returned the favour.

I pushed myself off the bed and walked to the door. I opened it and was about to head off to the archives, when I froze and stared at the face of my twin brother.

"Eric..." I said his name, clearly carrying a distasteful tone. "What are you doing here?"

Eric was looking at me, carrying that stupid smug look on his face he always does. One hand in his pocket and the other carrying his luggage.

"Oh, Brother," He tootted while shaking his head. "Give it a day and already you're busy causing trouble."

"Look, I'm not even going to bother asking what are you doing here because I don't care." I really didn't and I had enough weird shit happening to me already. "So just get out of my way, I have something important I need to do."

"And what's that?" He raised an eyebrow, glaring suspiciously. As usual, being the useless prick he is, he stuck his nose into my business.

"None of your business, shithead!"

"Look, I should be busy planning for my grads party and not be here, dealing with your crap. But after you skipped one of your classes, in fact you only have one class by the way, Mother and Father have sent me here to make sure you behave and you don't tarnish our family name. They realized sending you here may have been a terrible idea and I am here to reduce the damage as much as possible."

"God, you're so predictable!" I groaned, rolling my eyes.

Eric shrugged. "I am enrolled here now for the rest of my senior year, studying law. You better get back in line Dorrek and for once in your life take something seriously. I'll be getting settled in my dormroom, which by the way, is right next to yours." He turned on his heels and began walking, pointing his two fingers at me. "I'll be watching you."

I saw him carrying a bag and walking into that room. It may have been true that my twin brother was enrolled into this school and that moment I couldn't help but smell a rat.

All my life Eric thought he was better than me, but he never cared about what I did with myself. All he ever did was complain to my parents about me, because he was always the favourite.

Graduating at Harvard was his dream and my parents were willing to bathe the world in blood, just to give him what he wants. And now he suddenly got transferred to this school, the last place where they'd want their favourite kid to be. They did this all in one day, right after a bunch of bandits tried to capture me.

This wasn't a coincidence. Eric was up to something and I wanted to know what.

But before that, I needed to get to the archives so I could get revenge on Agreus I and sniff out information about him without his own consent.
