Betrayal

The Hypirex stood before Xellorus and the lifeless corpse of the member of the Kinerik council that lay down next to his feet, unable to speak as they were all still in shock and unable to believe what their eyes had just witnessed.

One of their own, a Hypirex, a warrior whose worn duty was to protect Kinerik had just killed a member of the Kinerik council in cold blood, this shocked every Hypirex there to witness it but none was more shocked than Aselero who viewed Xellorus as nothing more than a spineless, rule-following idiot who was too much of a coward to even breath without being ordered to do so.

"What have you done Xellorus?" asked Aselero.

Xellorus upon hearing what Aselero said just smiled before saying, "You of all people should be glad about what I did, I know we're very fond of those fools in the council".

The Hypirex, finally getting over the shock of Xellorus killing a member of the Kinerik council then surrounded him.

"Hypirex Xellorus you are charged with the murder of a member of the Kinerik Council and as such you are to be arrested and punished for your crime,s," said one of the Hypirex that surrounded him.

"Crimes?" said Xellorus with a small chuckle.

"No, I've committed no crime, in fact, what I just did was an act of divine justice. This fool like the other members of the Kinerik council was never meant to lead us. Don't you see, they are weaker and slower than us and as such have no right to command or rule over us, only a being with power greater than our own has the right to be our master and I serve that being" said Xellorus.

"And who is this being of greater power?" asked Aselero, curious to know what Xellorus meant by only a greater being deserved to be their master.

Xellorus upon hearing what Aselero said just smiled before saying, "The one that was there before anything was, the one who created the divine light before it was destroyed by darkness, the one true god, Ansaki Tonju, The One Who Came Before the Light".

The Hypirex, upon hearing what Xellorus said looked at Xellorus as if he was a madman, wondering what had got over him and why he was speaking utter rubbish.

Xellorus upon seeing the looks on their faces just smiled before saying, "You don't believe me, I don't blame you, your eyes have been blinded by the darkness of this world. It's a shame, you were truly fine men".

With those words said Xellorus raced off, moving at speeds so great that even the Hypirex found it difficult to follow his movements.

Using his incredible speed, Xellorus wasted no time to swiftly put an end to the lives of every single Hypirex that surrounded him, sparing only one, Aselero.

"You…you killed them," said Aselero uttering out of shock and horror after having seen Xellorus slaughter every single one of his fellow Hypirex in cold blood.

"Yes, I did, they were too far gone, too corrupted by the darkness to see but you on the other hand aren't like them," said Xellorus.

"What are you getting at?" asked Aselero.

Xellorus just smiled at Aselero before zooming straight at him at blinding speeds.

"You and I aren't that different you know," said Xellorus.

"Yeah, last time I check I'm not a madman that kills his own teammates and believes in some bizarre imaginary god," said Aselero.

Xellorus just smiled and nodded his head upon hearing Ever Aselero said, "We both are highly skilled warriors forced to obey the commands of those lesser than us, people who don't understand what it means to struggle and fight just to reach the top. We both earned the power we possess while all they had to do was be part of the lucky few born into luxury and power. It's disgusting and I know you feel the same way. Don't try to deny it, I've seen it in your eyes, that anger, that rage and frustration you feel every single time you're around those who you know to be lesser than you".

Xellorus then placed an arm on Aselero's shoulder before saying, "Join the Light Brings Aselero and serve a being greater than yourself. Together we can rid the world of the chaos inflicted upon this world by the darkness. Help us spread Ansaki Tonju divine light".

Aselero remained silent for a moment before saying, "Tempting but I'll pass, call me crazy but there is something about joining a group of psychos that doesn't feel very appealing to me".

Xellorus just sighed before saying, "You disappoint me Aselero it seems as though you are not only blinded by the darkness but all by your stubbornness".

Xellorus then tried to do what he did with the other Hypirex, moving fast at incredible speeds and trying to kill Aselero but just as his fist was about to hit him Aselero blocked it with his hands before delivering a lightning-fast blow straight to Xellorus, sending him flying straight to the wall.

"You were right about me having to obey the commands of those lesser than me but what you failed to realize is that even the Hypirex I work with are also lesser than me," said Aselero.

Xellorus upon hearing what Aselero said got up before saying, "It seems as though I greatly underestimated you. A mistake I refuse to make twice".

Xellorus then charged straight for Aselero with Aselero following in suit resulting in the two colliding upon impact on a mirage of punches and kicks could be seen as the two Hypirex warriors moved at speeds far too high for anyone, a few Kinerix could make sense, or even begin to comprehend absurdly fast movements.

As the battle waged on and the two Hypirex warriors struck their fists against one another while moving at hyper speed, it soon became exceedingly clear that they were both even in power and skill as neither of them seemed to be able to get the up hand.

Soon both Aselero and Xellorus were on the floor, exhausted, having sustained several injuries from one another during their fight.

"You impress me Aselero; I made it my mission to be the best warrior in Kinerik, making sure I out-classed everyone and be the best of the best but despite all of that you've managed to keep up with me and match my speed," said Xellorus impressed by the fact that Aselero was able to match him in speed.

"My old man was a prick who taught me that if you want anything in life you have to be strong and fast enough to get it. That was probably the only useful thing that old fool ever taught me before he died, it made me understand that in this life, especially here in Kinerik, power, and speed are the only thing that matters, so I made it my mission to get stronger and faster" said Aselero.

Xellorus, upon hearing what Aselero said just smiled and nodded his head, even impressed by Aselero.

"You are truly a fine warrior but why continue to fight for people who are beneath you? You deserve so much more Aselero, someone of your skills deserves to serve a master higher than the foolish Kinerik council, a being higher than Kinerik itself, greater than all six worlds combined" said Xellorus as he got up.

"Please don't let that darkness that has blinded so many in all six worlds blind you too. Join me Aselero and serve upon a being that deserves a servant like you, join that light brother" said Xellorus as he went to Aselero and extended his hand towards him, making the offer once again for Aselero to join him and the Light Bringers, hoping that this time he wouldn't reject his offer.

Aselero, upon seeing Xellorus's hand, remained silent almost as though he was considering accepting Xellorus's offer before raising his hand towards Xellorus.

Xellorus upon seeing Aselero raise his hand towards him smiled, thinking that Aselero had finally seen reason and accepted his offer but this however was not the case as the very next moment Aselero smacked away Xellorus's arm away.

"As I said before, I'll pass," said Aselero.

Xellorus upon hearing what Aselero said just sighed and bowed down his head in disappointment before saying, "You disappoint me Aselero".

Xellorus then looked down at the ring, as he was a Hypirex on the same level as Aselero; his speed limiter took the form of a small ring which was the ring he was looking at on his finger.

"Pity, you would have made a fine member of the Light Bringers," said Xellorus before doing something Aselero did not expect, taking off his ring and removing the limitations of his speed, knowing full well how dangerous it was.

Xellorus then flipped the ring up into the air before he began to brutally attack Aselero as without his speed limiter he moved too fast for Aselero to be able to counter, dodge or block any of his attacks.

Xellorus continuously attacked him from all sides only stopping when he noticed his body was beginning to glow, indicating that his body was generating too much power and becoming unstable meaning that if he continued to use his speed was most likely to blow up.

Xellorus, upon noticing his body was glowing stopped attacking Aselero before catching his ring which had not still reached the ground yet as he moved so fast that by the time, he had finished brutally beating Aselero his ring was still falling and had not yet reached the ground.

Aselero was now on the ground with blood dripping out of his many wounds inflicted upon him by Xellorus and in immense pain.

Aselero despite all his wounds and the immense pain he felt flowing through his entire body, tried to get up and muster whatever little strength he had to continue the fight.

Xellorus upon saying what Aselero trying to get just sighed before putting on his ring, stabilizing his speed, and walking up to Aselero before proceeding to kick back down to the ground.

"Know when you've been beaten, warrior. Stay down" said Xellorus.

"Yeah, I don't think that it's going to happen, I'm a pretty stubborn man. If you don't believe me, ask my wife" said Aselero with a light chuckle.

Xellorus upon hearing what Aselero said just smiled before nodding his head and saying, "You know I could kill you right here and now but that wouldn't be fitting of a warrior like yourself. Warriors as stubborn like you don't deserve an easy death; you're born fighting and as such deserve to die fighting".

Xellorus then walked away from Aselero, approaching the dead corpse of the Kinerik council member, taking the remote from his cold dead hands and using it to deactivate the force field sealing the red heart before taking it.

Xellorus then opened the Vulorinuim door and left the room with Aselero still on the floor.

Aselero just laid there on the cold hard floor, in immense pain, lying on a pool of his own blood, wondering what Xellorus mean when he said he was born fighting and deserved to die fighting.

Aselero then heard a roar of a beast he was all too familiar followed by thunderous footsteps that shook the earth underneath his feet.

Aselero, already knowing what creature was coming after him; still raised his head to look into the eye of the beast who had come for his life.

And he saw none other than the Slotula slowly emerging from the opened Vulorinuim door with saliva dripping down from its mouth as it hungered for Kinerikan flesh.
