Chapter 31: I'll Throw You Out If You Cry Again

Seeing the tears on Keira Leaf's face, Joshua Sulliven felt a sudden tightness in his chest. A few vigorous steppers had already squatted in front of her, tightly gripping her arm, examining her up and down.

Feeling the pain on her arm again, Keira lowered her head to look at the big hand holding her, tears dripping down. Drops of scorching teardrops fell on Joshua Sulliven's hand, making him inexplicably uneasy.

"Don't cry." He furrowed his eyebrows, wiping the teardrops from her face. Her tears were warm, and he felt the scorching heat.

Keira turned her face away to dodge his reaching hand. Just hearing his words made her feel even more wronged. If it wasn't for the beast in front of her, would she have fallen? Would she be in so much pain? Would she be so pathetic? As she thought about it, her tears accumulated and blurred her vision, making her unable to see Joshua's expression.

"Don't cry," Joshua's face darkened.
