Chapter 32: My Butt Hurts

Keira Leaf pursed her lips, looking at the handsome man in front of her with teary eyes. She sniffed harshly, the teardrops swirling in her eye sockets but never falling. She looked pitiful, clearly in pain and aggrieved, but stubbornly refusing to let herself cry.

Seeing her like this, Joshua Sulliven's heart softened. He pressed her head against his chest: "Don't cry."

"Good girl."

It seemed like he was afraid to scare her, so he awkwardly added the word "girl" after his initial statement.

"Don't throw me out." Keira Leaf was still blinking her teary eyes, the swelling teardrops almost falling, but never quite doing so.

Her appearance at this moment made Joshua feel even more heartache than when she had been wiping away her tears earlier, but hearing her soft, tender words, he couldn't bring himself to say anything harsh.

"Alright, I won't."

Only then did Keira Leaf lean back against his chest, letting out a soft whimper, appearing especially well-behaved.
