Chapter 33: Falling from the Dressing Table

Joshua Sulliven's body stiffened, with dark lines appearing on his forehead, and the room fell into an eerie silence.

"Pfft!" Stuart Truman couldn't help but laugh.

Hearing the laugh, Keira Leaf glared at him angrily, her face flushing red like the clouds in the skyline. She then buried her head in Joshua Sulliven's embrace, too embarrassed to show her face.

Seeing her gaze, Stuart's laughter only grew. His shoulders shook with laughter. But before he could calm down, Joshua Sulliven's icy gaze fell on him, making him feel as if he were being sliced by a cold blade.

Stuart quickly restrained his laughter and put on a poker face that said, 'strangers not allowed.' However, the twitching corners of his eyes betrayed the pain of his withheld laughter.

"Where was the injury, and how did it happen?" Dr. Yellow was relatively calm, not daring to be as audacious as Stuart.
