The Moon Festival Part 2

"I did," he confirmed, before adding with a grin. "But I cannot confidently guarantee you that the flavor will be good. I can only hope that they are edible and that they won't turn your stomach."

He positioned the tray gently on a side table before moving to pour from the clay teapot into a tiny cup. 

The Goddess, not wanting to be idle while he worked, approached him hoping to help serve the mooncakes on smaller plates. But their close proximity did the inevitable and caused the two to bump their heads together.

"Ow," she whimpered slightly, rubbing her forehead. "I'm really sorry."

"No no. Don't be," he replied, laughter lingering in his voice. "Here, take this." The deity reached over and took Moon by the hand. Carefully, he picked up a small pink mooncake and placed it onto her open palm.
