The second house (6.1)

"Marie what are you doing?" asked Danela.

"I got a text from Robert. He asked me if we want to come to his party, tonight. I wanna go, what about you?"

"Sure, girl, we don't have anything better to do. Maybe you'll find someone there for you?" Danela laughed out loud after suggesting that.

"If I find someone who can handle me!" Marie also started to laugh. "Robert said some of his friends will be there, and we can come over at his place at 8."

"What do you say about Robert? Ha ha."

"Nooo, he's like a brother to me. I'll never agree to that, even if he's a goodie. Ha ha."

Nothing out of the ordinary happened at the party. They had fun, but she didn't find anyone who caught her eye. Both of the girls met some friends who got along well.

In the morning, they were still having fun when they heard the doorbell.

"Guess who rang the doorbell, that colleague from your classes, Maria. Robert, please come and answer it, and girls, hide," said Danela as she went to hide. There were only a few girls left, most notably, Marie, Ana, Danela, and another girl who was friends with Ana. There were a few of Robert's guy friends left, but they didn't choose to intervene.

"Oh wow, you are jacked! Ummm, sorry! Umm, hi, I'm here because I'm looking for a friend. He's a tiny one, around 8 years old, and he lives in the area, but I didn't get where exactly. His name is Alex, and do you mind telling me where to find him?"

"Uh, ok, look, I'm not here for a long time, I'm a renter and I don't know this guy called Alex. And don't mind me, but aren't you too old to be friends with a child? If you're friends with him, weren't you supposed to know where he lives?"

"I'm asking because it's my first time coming here, and he didn't tell me exactly where to go. I'm worried about his health. That's why I'm asking for help."

Marie, hearing this, came to think, 'I don't think this guy is bad. He came looking for someone in need. I thought he was up to something. Maybe I misjudged him.'

"Then my mistake, I'm not so good at first impression. I'm Robert."

"Nice to meet you, I'm George. Then I won't keep you from having your fun because I heard the music. I'll keep on searching."

The door closed, and Ana came to ask Robert what happened because she didn't hear the conversation like the other girls.

"So, Robert, what happened? The girls told me to hide, and they were refusing to tell me."

"There was a guy what was looking for someone who's sick, from what he told me."

"Don't let it get to your head!" said Marie. "You don't know much! Maybe he is tricking you. You are very believable and trustworthy."

"I didn't see it from his perspective, but whatever. Turn the music back up!"

Five minutes later, they heard some sirens.

"Hey, guy, lower the volume a bit. The cops are close." Danela told them. "Let's watch from the window!"

"It seems they are surrounding that guy from earlier!" Robert exclaimed.

"What? But he seemed like a kindhearted guy," Ana's friend was surprised upon hearing this.

"This is going to be interesting". As Danela was finishing her sentence, all of them saw the fire what was over George.

"Hmmm?" Ana inquired as she soon realized the person they were talking about was her colleague. "You are mean, both of you Marie and Danela, it was my colleague." Not only she was surprised it was from her class, but also by the fact that he had his arms burning.
