Chapter 39: One o'clock is not scary

James Black suddenly reflected, was it right or wrong to let her go to work?

Before, although she did nothing in the house, at least every time she came home, her spirit seemed quite good.

But now, having only started working for over a month, had she become so exhausted?

Was it because she hadn't adapted yet, or was her work really that strenuous?

After all, James Black's wife didn't need to work herself to the bone to make ends meet. At first, he just wanted to make her time a bit less tedious, but it seemed she might have overexerted herself.

The car had already stopped at the dining hall doorway, but the person sitting next to him showed no signs of waking up.

James thought he should wake her up to go inside and finish the meal, but seeing Jane Sampson sleeping so soundly, he suddenly felt reluctant to disturb her.
