Chapter 3: The Culprit

The soldiers, standing in formation, remained motionless on the dock, while the busy traders and workers consciously cleared out of the area.

Although no one knew why the Lord's Guard had suddenly appeared, seeing a yacht with a noble's insignia sail into a private dock that had never seen a vessel before gave the common folk a rough idea of what was going on—some high-ranking official must be paying a visit to Caucasus.

The merchants and dockworkers were disinterested in these events. As long as you paid your taxes, no one bothered you here, and the merchants were more interested in profits, while the workers needed to earn money to support their families. It seemed nobody cared who came to Caucasus; those were concerns for the Lords to ponder.
