He did not just say that to me.

Rafe did NOT just have the gall to say that to me when he knew very well what the situation was.

This wasn’t just his sister who was missing—taken—but my best friend, too. Mia had stuck through me through the terrible breakup with Max and had my back when I first came to work at the Local Tribune.

I might’ve been a bit wide eyed and eager, but she helped me settle in and we became friends. Best friends.

And now she was in danger. He was date ruined and some group of assholes had her, contemplating handing her over to Zara. All to get to me.

Luna and Mia’s lives were both at stake—they were both people I cared about—and Rafe wanted me to sit back and do nothing while he and the rest of the pack were out there fighting a battle that started because of me.

I had never been more insulted in my entire life. If Rafe knew me, then he would know that such a thing wasn’t an option.
