Chapter 34 : Chaotic First Dates

*Mia’s POV*

When Luna asked me to go out with her to get lunch and go shopping, I didn’t hesitate to say yes, even if it was only a friend outing—a friend date, nothing romantic about it, no sir.

Really, I was just happy to spend time with her and get to know her better. Romance wasn’t necessary to have a good time.

Still, despite that, I found myself fretting over what to wear, even waking Lila up from her nap—she had come back too early in the AM for it to be considered anything but.

However, my journalistic bestie didn’t seem to be too upset at being half asleep while she helped choose an outfit and the jewelry to go with it.

“So, for your date—”

“Not a date,” I corrected and Lila rolled her eyes, picking up a necklace and testing it with my current outfit before setting it back down and looking for another.

“Alright, for your not date. Are you sure it’s not a date?”

“Lila.”

“Mia.”

I huffed. “We’re just going out as friends.”
