The afternoon is such a weird time for me to go to work, but I am not about to complain. I might not get a lot of tips, but I definitely rack up a bunch of hours when I work the afternoon shifts. Plus, it gives me a chance to catch up on all sorts of work that I was missing out on before with a shorter schedule. 


I left this morning around nine, which was a bit of a struggle since I worked late last night, and I was running late so I didn’t get a chance to snag anything for breakfast before I left my apartment. 


Everything about today feels just a little bit off. 


I was running late to work and managed to slide in at the last second before my shift started. 


Finally, there were maintenance guys in the building messing with the elevator. The doors of the elevator were straightened and it looked like they were working on the internal bits and electrical wires.
