Then Karthik said joyfully "Wow, so the fairy tale come true. The knight have a secret crush on princess. That's the breaking news."

The guard became nervous and closed Karthik's mouth and look around and said "Sorry, but you can't announce it casually in public. I'll be hanged if someone found it. And more importantly how you know that I love princess Riana."

Karthik then hit him and said "Its quite easy. You are the most loyal to king and you also controls over hundreds of royal guards and there is nobody who can talk to you arrogantly except members of main royal family and me. And you mentioned that you can't even dare to see her face that means she is the princess and most importantly that you confirmed it by yourself just some seconds ago" He started whistling and continued walking in the doorway.

The royal guard hurriedly matches steps with him and said "Hey, I request you please don't tell king about it. My family has served the royal family since many generation and gain the trust of royal family and I don't want to break their trust on my family"

Karthik continued drinking and said "Trust; this word is the most valuable thing. Isabella will also thinks of me as a traitor because I left her without saying anything. After Melissa's death I lost all confidence and don't want to happen that incident again with anyone so I left her when she was sleeping. I still feels regret because she must definitely hates me but I also feels happy because I know she must be fine as long as she is far from me. The royal guard felt slightly sad and answered "Is it because you sees me as a friend?"

Karthik started laughing and then said "No, kid not at all, I told you all this to warn you. You know love is the most beautiful thing but it is also the most painful when you lost someone who you loves most. I'll be living somewhere in peace happily If I didn't love them. He walked ahead while drinking but the royal guard didn't feel happy at all. He just felt bad and angry and wants to hit Karthik but after remembering his power level he cool down his anger and followed him.

They both entered in royal court and that was full of hunters, warriors and adventurers and magicians. The royal guard greeted king and then sat beside like a body guard.

Karthik still didn't stop drinking and didn't even showed respect to king and any person there. After seeing them the king clapped and said "The meeting is over, you all can leave now."

After hearing the words all people in court greeted king and left one by one and in the last only King royal guard, Karthik and prime minister left.

Karthik then removed his hoodie and he was looking like a lion with beard and long hairs. He said "Why you call me in so hurry. And most importantly why you sent that tasteless wine to me. It ruined the taste of my mouth."

After seeing him drunk the king said "Behave yourself, you are in royal court right now."

Karthik started laughing crazily and then came closer to king and whispered "You are king for your people, Don't even think that you are my king too. I have to do more work, tell me why you call me here?"

The prime minister then took out his sword but King stopped him and said "Let him go, After all I summoned him here."

After it they all took their seats and then King clapped and some soldiers came with a demon soldier trapped in chains was fully in rage"

The king said "He is a demon soldier who we captured near borders, and from him we found the information that demons are planning to attack West Sophiala because the capital is located here. And according to him the reason for their attack is our precious resources."

Karthik once again intrupted him and said "No, no at all. Don't even think that demon will attack some country for resources. The demons rules over twenty five percent of total continent and they have enough resources. Their reason to attack your kingdom because of your precious daughter."

After hearing his words the king and prime minister became silent and that royal guard became worried and angry too, and after sometime of silence the king said "Yes, you are right. My daughter was blessed by goddess when she born and she is one of the divine girl who borns with pure Holy body. I kept it secret from everyone and never let anyone see my daughter because I don't want to attaract any danger towards this kingdom.

Because you already know the reason then no need to talk round and round. I summoned you here as a king but I want to talk to you as a father now."

His voice tone changed and Karthik stopped drinking and other officials are surprised too. The king then said "Everyone knows that our kingdom can't defend against demon king's attack and I hired all mercenaries, assassins, killers, warriors, hunters, magicians healers etc to fight against demon army but this is not enough to defeat demon king. Our kingdom have golden and prideful history that we never surrendered and never got defeated. But this time too we will not surrender and will fight till death even if we got defeat but I can't see my daughter to be in danger. So..."

King was hesitant to say, he clenched his fist because it going to be his first time that he is requesting someone, After seeing the king like that Karthik finished beer and completed his sentence, "You want to say that you want me to protect your daughter."
