The battlefield lay in ruins, and the five Marked Warriors—Banari, Yu, Shoya, Ken, and Toshinori—were battered, bruised, and utterly exhausted. They had pushed their powers to the limit, and now, they found themselves on the ground, unable to muster the strength to continue the fight. Only Toshinori remained standing, though barely, in front of Alduin, who was still radiating dark energy.
Alduin taunted Toshinori, his eyes gleaming with malevolence. "Your friends are on the ground, and you are still standing," he sneered. "I must say, you are just like Musashi, always standing at the end. Now, what are you going to do, mortal?"
Toshinori knew that there was only one way to end Alduin, and it meant a sacrifice he had been dreading. He glanced down at the dagger he held in his hand, the very same dagger that had sealed Alduin's predecessor, Mushashi, a thousand years ago. Alduin's eyes widened with recognition as he saw the weapon.
"That dagger, it can't be," Alduin muttered, disbelief evident in his voice.
Banari, Yu, Shoya, and Ken, who were still conscious but severely weakened, turned their attention to the dagger with shock and concern. Banari spoke first, his voice trembling with disbelief. "Toshinori, how did you find that dagger?"
Yu, his eyes filled with desperation, pleaded with his older brother. "No, big brother, you can't sacrifice yourself," he implored.
Ken and Shoya, though equally concerned, were more direct in their protests. "Damn it, Toshinori, you better not stab yourself in the heart," they warned.
However, it was Akane, who had been fighting Alduin's army nearby, who reacted most strongly. She had hidden the dagger along with her friends Sota and Akira, precisely to prevent Toshinori from using it in a last-resort scenario. Her voice trembled with terror as she saw Toshinori holding the dagger.
"No, Toshinori, please don't do this," Akane cried out, her heartache and fear evident. "I can't bear to lose you again. Please don't leave me."
She stood a bit away from the group, her eyes brimming with tears, unable to conceal her anguish.
Alduin, sensing the tension and realizing that the dagger had a deeper significance than he had initially assumed, sneered once more. "That dagger is useless. Only a person who carries a mana core can activate it, and none of you use magic."
Toshinori, however, smirked in response, a glimmer of determination in his eyes. "I know, but you also don't know the true power of this dagger," he declared. "This dagger was made to kill you. It contains rune magic sealed within it. It's written that if we stab you in the heart with this dagger, you will be destroyed by that rune magic."
Banari, Yu, Shoya, and Ken were shocked but realized what had to be done next. Toshinori turned to his teacher, Banari, who was still struggling to rise. "Banari-sensei, we only have one shot. We have to stab him in the heart. But I can't do this alone. We five have to use our final techniques by combining them with the powers of this armor."
Banari, despite his fatigue, stood up with newfound determination. "Then let's do this," he declared.
Yu, filled with resolve, stepped forward. "I'm with you, big brother Toshinori."
Ken and Shoya, their spirits unwavering, nodded in agreement. "Hell yeah, let's end this ugly bastard," they exclaimed in unison.
Alduin, sensing the impending danger, attempted one last taunt. "Don't get cocky, you lowly ones. Even with that weapon, you can't defeat me. You can't defeat me!"
The five warriors exchanged determined glances and nodded in unison, their bond as champions of their world unbreakable.
Toshinori, Banari, Yu, Ken, and Shoya, each at the peak of their human capabilities, their bodies glowing with an otherworldly light, rushed toward Alduin with unparalleled speed. They attacked him one by one, striking him relentlessly.
Banari's katana pierced Alduin's back, Ken's axe lodged in his abdomen, Shoya's daggers stabbed his thighs, and Yu's katana skewered his head. Finally, Toshinori, with the dagger in hand, plunged it into Alduin's heart.
Alduin's body slowly began to glow, and his presence started dissipating. The dark master's form crumbled into ashes, leaving only remnants of his malevolence.
But as Alduin's essence faded, the price of using their final techniques began to take its toll on the five Marked Warriors. Their bodies convulsed in pain, and they let out agonizing screams.
Banari, Yu, Shoya, Ken, and Toshinori fell to the ground, unconscious and drained. The tremendous effort and sacrifice they had made had pushed them to their limits.
After a few agonizing moments of unconsciousness, the five Marked Warriors—Banari, Yu, Shoya, Ken, and Toshinori—slowly opened their eyes. Their vision was blurred at first, but it gradually cleared, revealing the faces of healers who were standing beside them, tending to their wounds and injuries.
Toshinori was the first to regain his senses fully. He blinked and looked around, realizing that he was still alive. His gaze fell upon the healer who had been working diligently to treat his injuries.
The healer, a kind-looking woman with a gentle smile, spoke softly to Toshinori. "You're awake, hero. You've been through quite an ordeal, but you're going to be all right."
Toshinori nodded weakly, a sense of relief washing over him. He glanced at his fellow Marked Warriors to ensure they were also awake and alive.
Banari, with his eyes slowly fluttering open, let out a sigh of relief. He turned his head and saw a healer attending to him. "We made it," he muttered, his voice filled with exhaustion.
Yu, his eyes blinking as he regained consciousness, looked up at the healer beside him. "Thank you for saving us," he said with genuine gratitude.
Shoya, who had been unconscious, slowly stirred and took in his surroundings. He smiled weakly at the healer. "I can't believe we're still here," he whispered.
Ken, the last to fully awaken, let out a groan and looked at the healer who had tended to him. "We didn't die, did we?" he asked, his voice filled with a mix of disbelief and relief.
As the healers tended to Toshinori, Banari, Yu, Shoya, and Ken, their parents arrived on the scene with tears in their eyes. The relief and emotion of seeing their children alive and well after the harrowing battle against Alduin overwhelmed them.
Deku and Ochaco, parents to Toshinori and Yu, rushed to their sons' sides. Tears streamed down Deku's face as he hugged Toshinori tightly. "You're okay," he whispered, his voice filled with emotion. "I was so worried."
Ochaco embraced Yu, tears of joy glistening in her eyes. "I thought we had lost you," she said, her voice trembling. "Thank goodness you're safe."
Bakugo and Alakia, Ken's parents, were equally emotional. Bakugo gave Ken a rough pat on the back, trying to hide the tears in his eyes. "You idiot," he grumbled, but his relief was palpable.
Alakia hugged Ken tightly. "Don't you ever scare us like that again," she scolded, her voice cracking with emotion.
Shoto and Momo, parents to Shoya, approached their son with tears in their eyes. Shoto placed a hand on Shoya's shoulder, his voice filled with pride. "You've grown into a remarkable young man," he said, his voice shaking.
Momo hugged Shoya and whispered in his ear, "We were so worried about you. I'm glad you're safe."
Shoto, the proud father of Kouko and father-in-law of Banari, couldn't help but feel a surge of paternal protectiveness as he looked at Banari. His stern expression softened for a moment, and he stepped closer to Banari, making sure to convey the seriousness of his words.
With a firm but measured tone, Shoto warned Banari, "Banari, I've watched you grow as a warrior and as a husband to my daughter. I trust you with her happiness, but I need to make something clear. You better not even think about making my daughter a widow."
Banari met Shoto's gaze with a solemn nod, a deep sense of respect for his father-in-law evident in his eyes. "I would never do anything to put Kouko in harm's way," he assured Shoto. "I'll do everything in my power to protect her and keep her safe."
Shoto nodded in acknowledgment, satisfied with Banari's response. "Good," he said, his voice softening. "I know you love her, and I trust you to stand by her side and protect her with everything you've got."
Bakugo, never one to mince words, turned his fiery gaze towards Toshinori as he scolded him for making his daughter Akane cry. He crossed his arms, clearly agitated, and his voice was laced with frustration.
"Toshinori," he began sternly, "you made Akane cry, and I won't stand for it. I don't care if you're dating her; you better treat her right."
Toshinori, realizing Bakugo's genuine concern for his daughter, nodded earnestly. "I understand, sir," he replied respectfully. "I care deeply for Akane, and I never want to hurt her. I'll make sure to make it right with her."
The use of "sir" in Toshinori's response indicated his respect for Bakugo, recognizing his role as Akane's father. It was a reminder that, despite their romantic relationship, Toshinori still respected the boundaries and authority that came with dating the daughter of someone as protective as Bakugo.
As the parents of the Marked Warriors continued their heartfelt reunions, they could see the tension and emotions within their children's relationships. Ochaco, the mother of Toshinori and Yu, understood the urgency and turned to her sons with a knowing expression.
"Toshinori," she said gently, "you better go outside and talk to Akane. She's anxious and upset with you." Her motherly concern was evident in her voice.
Yu, sensing the importance of the situation, nodded in agreement. "I'll go talk to Rose," he added, acknowledging the need to address the unresolved feelings between them.
Toshinori and Yu exchanged a brief glance, understanding that they needed to mend their respective relationships. They headed outside, leaving their parents to continue their conversations.
Meanwhile, Alakia, Ken's mother, recognized the need for her son to comfort Akira, who had been worried about Ken during the battle. She leaned in close to Ken and spoke softly but firmly.
"Ken, you better go and comfort Akira," she advised. "She's been through a lot, and she needs you right now."
Ken nodded in understanding and quickly made his way to find Akira, wanting to reassure her that he was safe and that they could face whatever challenges lay ahead together.
Momo, Shoya's mother, approached her son with a gentle but stern expression. "Shoya," she said softly, "go and ask for forgiveness from Sota. She's been worried about you, and she deserves an explanation."
Shoya nodded and took a deep breath, realizing that he needed to make amends with Sota for the worry he had caused her. He headed off to find her and have an honest conversation.
Finally, Shoto, recognizing the tension between Banari and Kouko, addressed Banari with a thoughtful suggestion. "Banari," he began, "go and talk to Kouko. It's important to clear the air and make sure she knows you're safe."
Banari, feeling a sense of responsibility for the unease he had caused Kouko, nodded with determination. "You're right, Shoto. I need to talk to her and let her know everything is okay."
With their parents' guidance and support, they understood the importance of addressing the emotional turmoil within their relationships. They ventured off to find their respective partners, hoping to mend the bonds that had been strained by the recent events of the battle against Alduin.
