CHAPTER 04
ILLEGAL GATEWAY OUT
Thou shalt not oppress a hired servant that is poor and needy, whether he be of thy brethren, or of thy strangers that are in thy land within thy gates;
At his day thou shalt give him his hire, neither shall the sun go down upon it; for he is poor, and setteth his heart upon it; lest he cry against thee unto the LORD, and it be sin unto thee.
DEUTERONOMY 24:14-15
Mackis awakes to not so familiar place. It was hard, 'how come his comfy bed in the palace became so hard and he can smell the dusty ground of the earth?'
He opened his green eyes. The heat of the light illuminated his pale skin and almost blinded him. The corn plant which was almost dried was everywhere not familiar to him.
'Am I hallucinating?' He asked himself as he puzzle the event last night. He thought he would die from a great fall if it was not in the net up there which caused him to save his life.
'I supposed, I must be laying on that net fifty feet high from the ground and died there. How it is possible for me to reach this place if no one takes me here?' He inquired cleverly to himself.
He was asleep in the midst of a corn plantation and had a small bag with him. He searched the possible part of the place where his savior hid.
"Show yourself at once!" He ordered in anticipation of anyone to emerge from anywhere but nobody hearken his voice.
He decided to continue his unplanned journey. He must be a king now but he must leave his kingdom to give way to the wicked ways of a queen - his mother.
She watched the event twice now. First from her sweven three-nights past. And it seemed to her watching the second time the same event.
From her position inside her little humble castle, she had the view of the young king's highest castle. She saw Atheo, King Nicolau's trusted guard watchful as she did for the event of the night. They had expected the queen to dispatch the young prince but not as bold as the event she dreamed of a few nights ago. She alarmed the most trusted guard of the king for she had a hard time knowing whose intentions around her is still blameless and whose faithfulness belonged to Martyna.
She had made the king's men put a wide net hung to protect the beautiful budding of flowers a little lower from the terrace of the castle unaware of its hidden purpose. She saw the shadow of two persons that seems hugging. Queen Martyna she supposed and her king son. She cannot expect a young child though smart enough to act like a fully grown-up king. So she wanted the crown.
Queen Martyna pushed the young king to the castle. And leave her child there. Atheo saw the event Ignacia told her. She watched as he carefully climbed up the post to save the young king. She wondered about things as it happens as she had dreamed last night.
