"A thief! A thief!" One of the vendors cried pointing out a young man running in her direction. All of a sudden one of the by-passers caught him and all of the men and women gathered around him hitting and kicking the boy.
"Excuse me, excuse me," a young man about ten and seven summers wearing an article of purple clothing. "How much is his debt to deserve this torture? This young brother is hungry so he stole bread. " The lad asked and everyone made way for him. They bowed their heads as they recognized their prince.
"We're sorry your highness but this unruly must learn his lesson." One of the merchants answered.
"Back off now!" The guard barked at the merchant. The wounded boy then bowed to the prince profusely. He gazed around looking for his friends then escaped from the face of Norton prince.
The murmurings about the heroic deeds of Prince Lukas reached Elise's ears. The people admired him that the kingdom will be having a future good king instead of his cousin crowned Prince Echaru, King Yeser's eldest son.
"I'm ss-sorry ma'am,"
A thief she saw bumped her basket of bread. The boy apologized to her shyly. Her bread and biscuits inside her basket were scattered on the street. The boy who carried heavy loads of fabrics with different colors smeared in pave and dust stick on it. The boy nervously picked both the dusted bread and fabrics. His sweat wetted all over his face. Two men approached and kicked the thin body of the poor boy.
"Bastard!"
The stout man barked. "Hurry up!" shouted the other while pushing the boy to the ground with his left foot. The boy screamed an inaudible cry as the hard metallic boots reached his bony back.
The distress stopped as four men with that good-looking young boy she saw earlier about ten and two summers of age helped the thief to escape from menacing merchants and defended again the poor kid.
"How dare y- aghhh bastards!"
The attack of kicks on his face. Young men and bandits were fighting in front of Elise. She can fight to defend any of the group as her guise is of an old woman.
The youngest of the poor boy's heroes fighting the prodigious man among thugs appeared from the other side of the street. The scene of fighting men caught the attention of commoners. One of the oppressors grabbed her to cover himself from the one holding the shining sword. The sight of a skillful lad attacking her with his sword terrified her. She felt the hot liquid flowing from her arm. An arrow from one of the young boy's defenders struck her. Her world spun and turns grey.
