He rested his body on the hard branches of an old oak tree. He closed his eyes for a while. The sound of different birds in the forest seems like music to his ear. This place is a home for him for almost two years since he stepped the second time to this foreign kingdom in the North of Burlington.

Kingdom of Norton one of the allies of Burlington ruled by King Yesser and his wife - Queen Victorine Princess of Bumingham, the king's kind and beautiful wife. The king and queen of Norton like his own kingdom suffered attack by many oppressors.

Prince Mackis and the princess of Norton betrothed before they were born but the agreement was sealed during his three summers, the birth of Norton princess. He remembered King Nicolau told him about his betrothal agreement to the young princess of Norton when he was nine summers.

"Prince Mackis, you will be the king after me and your queen will be the princess of Norton." His father explained while they looked the riches over Burlington with pride in their eyes. It reaches their view from a high tower of the palace - the wealth of the kingdom and its cities.

The tower of Burlington is the highest tower two hundred fifty feet high almost reaching the clouds. The wall itself was made with great defense hundred feet height from the land surface and ten cubits width reaches the borders of the kingdom. It was built from generations of their great-king grandfathers and finished after a hundred and fifty years during the reign of King Linux, the eleventh king before King Nicolau. It was made to protect their kingdom against terrorism and invaders. The tower has its telescopes and high-powered armor facing all possibilities of enemies' directions. It also serves as an eye of the kingdom where skilled soldiers watched spies sent by the enemy for attack. But it lost its young king that must have been protected by that might.

He had met Prince Echaru, the eldest son of King Yesser on his first visit with his father King Nicolau. Prince Echaru was older by about five summers while Prince Lukas the king's nephew was older by three summers than Prince Mackis. The two princes were the candidates for the crown although he learned now it was Prince Echaru appointed being the crowned prince.

"Lord Mackie, the old woman, where shall we put her? Are we going to let her stay with us?" Asked Nomi, his father in the eyes of some of the villagers of Majarat. The old man had bought him from slavery.
