Nilsa walked passed the living room quietly but not before stopping to look at her husband in sadness. She pressed the buttons of the elevator praying that the family wouldn't notice her. She was too lazy for any drama this afternoon. She didn't want to face them, her in-laws would just mock and embarrass her in the presence of their guest which Nilsa truly wasn't in for this afternoon. She stood in the elevator with unknown thoughts. Thoughts that were eating her alive.
She exited the elevator absent mindedly and went into her room closing the door behind her with a sigh. Even though her life wasn't good at the Walker Manor but she always had a bit of peace. Raymond neglected her as a child and daughter but she preferd it somehow because she didn't have to fight with her elderly sister for their father's affection.
