SRC (THE D’DAY) (6)

DAY ONE (1)

The first day of this special week celebration starts with a Quiz Competition between the various houses in the school. There are five houses: Arnold Jensen (AJ), Damien, ‘Adu Kokoo’, Joseph Fernandez (JF), and Dompreh. These houses compete against each other to see who emerges victorious. It’s indeed an exciting sight to see. Most questions are randomly picked from science, mathematics, English, and general knowledge. The quiz starts with everyone seated in the Assembly Hall and cheering for our respective houses. Two representatives each from the various Houses, and sometimes questions are thrown to us, the audience, if the representatives can’t answer. It will be a peaceful, enjoyable sight if Fei doesn’t have to deal with a bunch of lovesick puppies seated beside her. She’s trying her best not to blow up right this very moment. “Like seriously, you guys, will you give it a break? Really can’t I enjoy this quiz in peace.” Fei stated. She had had enough of these love birds and wanted to enjoy this quiz.

‘Oh Fei, stop being a spoilsport. Or are you just jealous?’ Mimi said while having a mocking smirk on. While Fei and Mimi bickered back and forth between each other, Lander just sat quietly between the two and kept observing their batter, and the only thing running through his head at that moment was how cute Mimi looked while feigning anger. Due to the Lil batter between the two, whatever went down during the competition was invincible to their eyes. The result was displayed when they came to, with JF emerging victorious, while AJ came second, Adu Kokoo Third, Damien fourth, and the last Dompreh. After the quiz competition, the closing assembly was held, marking the end of the first day of the celebration.

DAY TWO (2)

So today, too, marks the starting point of another eventful day of the SRC week celebration. Today happens to be an inter-house sporting activity. Many activities occur in this particular event, ranging from Soccer, softball, volleyball, and a 100 meters race. Today’s event will start with the girls’ volleyball, boys’ 100m race, and boys’ and girls’ softball competitions. And yet again, these lovebirds aren’t making things easier for Fei; this time, her earbuds are in great danger, and the probability of her going deaf is very high today. Mimi has turned herself into the private cheerleader for her boyfriend, Lander, even though they are both in opposing houses, like seriously. ‘Hey! Seriously, Mimi, you know he’s playing against JF, right...’ Fei asked, just to be sure.

‘Yes, I know. So why are you asking me that, huh? Is it wrong for me to cheer my boyfriend on?’ Is she being serious, is what was presently running in Fei’s mind?

‘No? I was trying to verify something, that’s all...’ Fei said with an unbelievable expression. From this moment on, Fei finally realizes there’s no helping these lovebirds; they’re doomed for life. And as so, this marks the close of part 1 of the sporting events.

DAY THREE (3)

Today too, is another beautiful day for the continuation of part 2 of the sporting events. Today’s sports activities will continue with the boy’s soccer, boys’ volleyball, girls’ Soccer, girls’ 100m race, and boys’ volleyball. And as usual, the lovebirds are at it again today too. But it’s even worse today because they are together, and Fei is on the verge of going insane immediately. As if no more seats are available, Mimi feels comfortable in Lander’s lap, and they’re practically cuddling in the open as if the rest of the students around them are non-existent.

‘Like seriously, guys, get a room, will you? It’s starting to get annoying with what’s transpiring here.’ Fei said with a tsk sound. She has had it with those two, she’s so done with them, and she’s even wondering why she’s always sticking around them.

‘Hey, Fei! What’s your problem? I don’t get your petty complaints. ‘Mimi asked.

‘My problem is that you aren’t a baby, so stop acting like one. Moreover, what you guys are doing should be done privately. Don’t you have any remorse for us the single once? ‘Fei said with a humph sound.

‘Ooh, so I now get where your problem originates, huh? So, I was right; you are indeed jealous. There are a lot of boys around; get yours and leave us be. ‘Mimi said with a teasing tone.

‘Who wouldn’t be? To be clear, I’m not jealous but envious, and the rest will agree too. You are loved. ‘Fei said with a smile on her face. It is not that she isn’t happy for them, but she enjoys teasing Mimi by complaining about everything they do. That’s her form of entertainment. But can you blame her? Lander was stealing her friend’s attention; she got to do something to regain it. Like that, the day ended with AJ emerging victors, JF second, Adu Kokoo third, Dompreh Fourth, and Damien Fifth. They were awarded medals according to their ranks, and overall, today was an eventful day, and Fei and Mimi enjoyed every bit of it, especially Mimi.
