"You already know, Rina," Victor said sharply, his voice cold and dismissive. "I won't love you, no matter what you do or how many times you beg. You knew from the start that Helena was the one I loved!"

Victor went on, his voice harsh, "The only reason I married you is because it was my grandmother's wish. I'll provide you with money, but please don’t bother me or Helena anymore."

Tears streamed down my face as I struggled with the pain and despair. My dreams of rekindling our love were shattered before my eyes.

I had planned to surprise him with the news of my pregnancy, but now it seemed he didn't care. My hopes for our unborn child felt pointless in a world where its father had already rejected it.

"B-brother, what is the meaning of this?" Elena stammered, her disbelief evident as she looked at Rigor and the children.

Her sudden appearance startled the children, who instinctively huddled behind Rigor, their faces etched with fear.

"R-rigor, why is that woman here? She's a bad woman,.. she might hurt us..." Venice said, peeking cautiously at Elena.

Rigor shot Elena a cold glare before turning his attention to the children.

"Listen to me, children. I'm here to take you outside right now. It's urgent that we leave before the guards and Vanessa arrive. You wouldn't want to be caught by Vanessa, would you?" Rigor said gently, causing Elena to furrow her brow.

"W-what are you talking about, brother?..How come you're so close to them?....A-and do you really plan to take them away?" Elena said incredulously.

Rigor didn't pay attention to her and instead focused back on the kids, his expression showing concern.
