Chapter 1: I was thrown in the starry forest

"Yueguan, kindly return the boy to me; this young man is remarkably brave!" On that dimly starlit evening, Ju Douluo hoisted Qin Feng aloft.

"I genuinely didn't mistreat Xueer. She offered to help me with my backache, and suddenly, we slipped, resulting in an inadvertent collision of lips! It was truly an accident!" Qin Feng passionately explained.

"You certainly appear startled," Ju Douluo's lips curled slightly as he observed Qin Feng. He then whisked him away like a gust of wind, heading toward an ancient forest of towering trees.

"Uncle Chrysanthemum, please don't be too hard on me. I might have heart attack at the tender age of six!" Qin Feng cast a pitiful glance at Ju Douluo.

"No need to defend yourself. You'll still face many trials in this vast starry forest," Ju Douluo retorted, his words vanishing into thin air.

"Wow! You're such a tough one!" Qin Feng exclaimed, desperately wishing for his parents to save him! Six years ago, he had been a diligent student.

Back when he had just finished working on CAD, he read the recent Douluo mainland novel. Although an anime adaptation had been released, he hadn't had the time to watch it, so he planned to catch up.

That fateful day, while savoring instant noodles and browsing the internet, a strange noise resonated, and suddenly, he inexplicably found himself transported to the starry forest, now as a one-year-old baby!

Fortunately, his fortune took an unexpected turn when he was discovered by Qiandaoliu of Wuhundian. Qin Feng, a dedicated Douluo fan, knew that this old man held the prestigious position of being the 99th level extreme douluo in the Wuhun Palace.

He had thought he was destined for greatness in Douluo Continent, but to his surprise, he awakened as a soul master with a hammer—a hammer with zero soul power!

Feeling utterly dejected, Qiandaoliu promptly abandoned him. After all, why would Wuhun Hall need a hammer with zero soul power?

However, his granddaughter had always been fond of him and had been tagging along since childhood, providing him with temporary security.

What's more, just last week, he stumbled upon something astonishing: he had acquired a system!

But just as he thought his life was about to turn around, the system's task for him was shocking—he was supposed to develop an ambiguous relationship with his own granddaughter!

He couldn't believe it. How could he start something like that with a six-year-old girl? But then it struck him—wasn't he also six years old now?

Little did he know that he was about to embark on an unexpected adventure. "This is going to be interesting," Qin Feng mused as he exhaled a breath of uncertainty.

"Ding! Congratulations on the successful awakening of the host's system," a mechanical female voice resonated within Qin Feng's mind as a golden light shimmered beside him.

Host: Qin Feng,Gender: Male, Age: 6 years old, First Martial Soul: Hammer Second Martial Soul: None, Soul Power: 1/10000, Starting Gifts: Nameplate - Tang Sange1, Mutation Card1

Qin Feng rolled his eyes upon hearing the system's announcement. "Who, at this hour, is still snoring?"

Suddenly, he heard a snore, and when he turned his head, he was met with a pair of purple eyes fixed upon him. It was a ghost cat!

In the Douluo mainland, ghost cat Zhu Zhuqing was known for her beauty, but this one seemed rather menacing; it appeared that this ghost cat intended to make a meal out of him!

"Run!" Qin Feng exclaimed, dashing away as he prayed for divine intervention.

[Soul Power+100] +100 +100 +1000 … "Congratulations to the master for reaching the second level of soul warrior," the system proclaimed, leaving Qin Feng puzzled.

"Nani??" he exclaimed, filled with confusion.

[This system uses a breath-based upgrade calculation method. Normal breath increases soul power by 1, deep breath by 100, and a profound breath by 1000], the mechanical voice explained.

"Can it be of any use, my dear sister?" Even if he reached level 10, he couldn't escape the clutches of this ghost cat!

[Reminder, the owner can try the items in the inventory], the system chimed in.

"But, my dear sister, you didn't tell me how to use them!" How could he utilize these items without instructions?

[The owner can select the item and use it in meditation], the system responded.

Qin Feng suddenly noticed a status bar in front of him. On the left was a light blue identity card, and on the right was a dark card.

"Let's try Tang San's brother!" Qin Feng whispered.

Tang San, the most arrogant of them all, simply couldn't meet his demise so early this year!

"Hey!" A gust of wind swept by, and Qin Feng found himself in the arms of a man. This man looked disheveled and reeked of alcohol, making it difficult for Qin Feng to keep his eyes open.

"Where did these kids come from? How did they end up so deep in the Star Forest?" The man, Tang Hao, questioned as they arrived outside the Holy Soul Village.

Tang Hao ventured into the depths of the Star Forest every year, but his reasons remained a mystery.

Upon entering the Holy Spirit Village, they encountered an elderly man with white hair who immediately questioned Tang Hao. "Tang Hao, today is the day your son awakens his Martial Soul. Other children have their parents with them.

Are you even a father?"

This elder, Jack, was from the Holy Soul Village. He couldn't fathom how someone as sensible as Tang San could have such an irresponsible father. If it weren't for Tang San, he would have driven this negligent blacksmith out of the village long ago.

"What Martial Soul did he awaken?" Tang Hao, seemingly oblivious to Jack's scolding, asked Tang San.

Tang San's fingers moved slightly, revealing a blue silver grass in his palm. "Blue silver grass," he replied.

Tang Hao's eyes showed a glimmer of interest, but his composure quickly returned. "I found a lost child outside, slightly older than you. Take him to change his clothes," Tang Hao instructed Tang San and Jack, tossing Qin Feng in front of them.

Jack trembled with anger and struck the ground with his cane. "Tang Hao!"

However, Tang Hao paid no heed and headed back to his blacksmith shop. "Child, what's your name?" Jack asked Qin Feng, eager to discover where this negligent blacksmith had found this child.

"I'm Qin Feng, six and a half years old," Qin Feng replied.

"Six and a half years old? Has your Martial Soul awakened?" Jack asked, excitedly.

At the age of about six, children typically awakened their Martial Souls. Su Yuntao, the Soul Master, hadn't gone far, so he could be summoned back if needed.

"It has," Qin Feng replied.

"Ah, let grandpa take a look," Jack said, examining Qin Feng.

Qin Feng raised his left hand, revealing a small hammer. "Second-level Soul Warrior," Old Jack exclaimed, unable to contain his excitement as he tightly gripped Qin Feng's hand.

Old Jack couldn't help but marvel at the incredible luck of the blacksmith, who had not only picked up a second-level Soul Warrior but also a Martial Soul weapon—a weapon that complemented his Martial Soul perfectly.

Old Jack also probed Qin Feng about his life story, wondering if the blacksmith had been involved in any shady dealings.

Upon hearing Qin Feng's negative response, Old Jack fell into deep contemplation. The fact that Qin Feng had neither father nor mother and had been taken in by the blacksmith meant that he was now considered one of their own in the Holy Soul Village.

With this addition, the Holy Soul Village now had two young talents from the younger generation who could undergo martial soul training this year!
