Chapter 2: Me, Tang San's Brother

Although Xiao san possessed a natural abundance of soul power, his Martial Spirit was, in the end, a Blue Silver Grass. On the other hand, Xiao feng, while lacking innate soul power, possessed an aggressive weapon Martial Spirit. In the future, it was uncertain who might excel more.

"Xiao San, Xiao feng grandpa will visit you later. I'll see if I can secure an additional spot for you both at the Notting Soul Division Junior College," Old Jack informed Tang San and Qin Feng.

The Holy Soul Village typically had only one available spot each year. Originally, they had intended to send Primary Three to school, but now, with an additional child, the two were quite evenly matched. Old Jack intended to check if there were any vacancies in the neighboring village's school so that both children could attend together.

"Thank you, Grandpa Jack," Tang San and Qin Feng expressed their gratitude to Old Jack simultaneously.

As Old Jack gazed upon these two well-behaved children, a smile of contentment spread across his face. He couldn't help but wonder if the blacksmith had accumulated good karma in a past life, as both of these children were exceptionally sensible.

"Brother Feng, my name is Tang San," Tang San introduced himself to Qin Feng in a polite manner.

Qin Feng responded warmly, extending his hand. Little did he expect that the nameplate would prove to be so useful, and that he would become Tang San's brother, one of the most important figures in the future Douluo mainland.

In this manner, Qin Feng followed Tang San to the blacksmith's shop. While Tang San prepared food, Qin Feng assisted by tending to the fire.

"Xiao San come over here," Tang Hao called Tang San.

"Dad, I'm cooking with Brother Feng, it'll be ready soon," Tang San replied.

Tang Hao's clouded eyes fixed on Tang San. "Are you sure you want to pursue this path?"

Tang San responded with unwavering determination. "I'll follow in my father's footsteps and become a blacksmith."

On the other side, Qin Feng hesitated as he looked at the status bar in front of him. He had previously used the identity plate to become Tang San's brother, and now there was the mutation card. What would happen if he used it?

Qin Feng attempted to seek answers from the system, but the system remained unresponsive and aloof, only appearing when tasks were at hand.

Ultimately, Qin Feng made up his mind. He was naturally curious and couldn't resist the urge to use the mutation card. He activated it in silence, eager to discover its effects.

In an instant, a beam of light slid across his status bar, resembling a spinning lottery wheel.

Host: Qin Feng Gender: Male Age: 6 years old First Martial Soul: Hammer Second Martial Soul: None Soul Power: 18200/20000

As Qin Feng watched the light gradually slowing down, it seemed to hover over the gender category, causing him to nearly suffocate with anxiety. A dreadful thought crossed his mind: did the mutation card, as its name suggested, change his original attributes? He was a male before; would he now become a female?

The prospect was almost tragic! Qin Feng folded his hands together, praying to any deity or higher power that might be listening. He implored them not to let the light stop at the gender category.

"Ding!"

A clear sound echoed in his ears, and Qin Feng cautiously opened his eyes. He had been genuinely frightened. The mutation card had proven to be an exhilarating and nerve-wracking experience.

"Phew…" Qin Feng let out a long breath, relieved that the outcome had been favorable.

The light on the status bar had halted at the position of the first martial soul, accompanied by a notification of successful mutation.

"Liangyi Tiangang Hammer?" Qin Feng examined his Martial Spirit but found that, apart from the change in the appearance of the hammer he wielded, there didn't seem to be any significant alterations.

Meanwhile, Tang Hao was observing Tang San with a cold gaze.

"If you wish to become a blacksmith and learn the craft alongside me, you must first forge with a hammer ten thousand times before you qualify," Tang Hao declared. The piece of iron before them was ordinary, riddled with impurities.

"Of course, you can change your mind," he added, feigning indifference.

Tang San, undeterred, approached the enormous hammer. His determination was unwavering.

On the sidelines, Qin Feng also joined him. He knew that Tang San, as a traveler from another world, was learning blacksmithing to enhance his hidden weapon-making abilities.

"Oh? Were you born with superhuman strength?" Tang Hao quipped, feigning surprise as he glanced over, despite keeping his eyes closed.

It was essential to note that this hammer weighed nearly a hundred pounds and stood taller than a six-year-old child. It would be impossible for a child to lift it.

After a while, Tang San appeared somewhat fatigued after completing five hundred strikes.

"Brother Feng, would you like to give it a try?" Tang San asked Qin Feng, who was standing nearby.

"I'll give it a shot!" Qin Feng replied.

The two children approached the hammer together and grabbed its handle.

"Argh!" Qin Feng let out a cry and exerted his utmost effort. However, he lacked the Xuan Tiangong that Tang San possessed. In his previous life, he had been a computer-bound individual with no physical prowess. Pull-ups and myopia were more his speed than lifting heavy hammers.

This time, his attempt was purely out of curiosity.

"Why does it feel so light?" Qin Feng was surprised to find that he could lift the hammer with ease.

"What... are these kids naturally this strong?" Tang Hao, despite his eyes still being closed, mumbled in amazement.

Tang San's eyes gleamed with admiration as he cheered, "Brother Feng, you're amazing!"

"Even Tang San is surprised," Tang San remarked, his eyes filled with amazement. As he looked at Qin Feng, it was as if a child of five or six was not gazing at him. He understood that Qin Feng was managing it without Xuan Tiangong, genuinely lifting the hammer with his own strength.

Qin Feng's forging rhythm appeared even steadier than his own.

"Upgrade?!"

+100 +1000 ...

In that moment, he had been promoted to the third level of a soul warrior!

Qin Feng panted heavily, observing the rows of data on the status bar, increasing his speed even further. He hadn't expected that blacksmithing could become a shortcut to rapid promotion. Despite the sweat pouring down his brow, Qin Feng continued to wield the hammer without hesitation.

"Fourth-level soul warrior!" "Fifth-level soul warrior!" ...

"Seventh-level soul warrior!!"

Qin Feng's rapid ascent left both Tang San and his father, Tang Hao, utterly stunned.

Tang San's mouth hung agape, and his jaw nearly hit the ground. He had struggled through five hundred strikes, but Qin Feng had effortlessly hammered thousand times. The chunk of pig iron that had originally been the size of a head had now become as hard as a thumb.

What kind of extraordinary individual had his father picked up?

Tang Hao, in the midst of his astonishment, couldn't help but wonder what kind of celestial being he had come across.

Upgraded iron forging?

Had anyone ever witnessed such a remarkable occurrence?

Tang Hao considered that it might be possible that, when one's soul power was already full during a level-up, utilizing iron to stimulate the soul could break through bottlenecks and advance to the next level. However, this theory seemed far-fetched when applied to Qin Feng's case. Going from a second-level soul warrior to a seventh-level soul warrior was unprecedented.

"Phew!" Qin Feng set the hammer down, his recently changed clothes soaked in sweat.

"Brother Feng, you're incredibly strong!" Tang San praised, his admiration evident in his eyes.

"Oh, it's nothing, really, especially compared to Xiaosan's innate full soul power," Qin Feng replied humbly, scratching the back of his head with a smirk.

Qin Feng noticed the admiration in Tang San's eyes, realizing that it was genuine. Admiration from someone in their thirties was a profound form of admiration.

"Full soul power from birth?" Tang San inquired, the remark piquing Tang Hao's interest as he rose from his bed.
