Chapter 64: Rivals?

"You... you dare call me a chicken and try to ruin things between me and Cuihua? You deserve to die!" Ma Hongjun was enraged, as if Qin Feng had struck a nerve. Flames erupted around his body, and in the next instant, he leaped forward, spitting a fierce fuchsia flame from his mouth.

"Be careful!" Cuihua shouted from behind, warning Qin Feng as the scorching flame hurtled toward him.

In response, Qin Feng activated his soul bone ability, quickly accelerating to a hundred times his normal speed, easily dodging the fat man's fiery attack.

"This is all your fault! Cuihua doesn't love me anymore because of you, and today I'm going to burn you!" Ma Hongjun screamed, his eyes filled with fury as he glared at Qin Feng.

"First Soul Skill, Phoenix FireWire!" Ma Hongjun unleashed another attack, sending fiery flames toward Qin Feng, trying to block all his escape routes.

"First Soul Skill, Thunder Burst Hammer!" Qin Feng responded, summoning a massive black hammer, which was enhanced by a purple soul ring that flashed brightly.

"A purple soul ring?!" Ma Hongjun was shocked to see the millennium soul ring around Qin Feng's hammer. How can someone so young have a thousand-year soul ring? he thought in disbelief.

But there was no time to dwell on it, as Qin Feng's hammer came crashing toward him, completely ignoring the flames. In a panic, Ma Hongjun activated his second soul skill.

"Second Soul Skill, Bathing Fire Phoenix!" Ma Hongjun's entire body was engulfed in flames, the temperature around him spiking as he transformed into a figure of fire.

"Let's see how you dodge this! No one can withstand the supremacy of fire—you're dead meat!" Ma Hongjun sneered, confident that his fiery attack would burn Qin Feng badly. If it had been a girl, he might've held back, but against a boy like Qin Feng, he had no mercy.

However, his pride didn't last long. With a loud boom, Qin Feng's black hammer smashed through the flames and struck Ma Hongjun square in the face.

Ma Hongjun flew backward like a ragdoll, crashing into a nearby grass shed, which collapsed under the impact.

Coincidentally, Cuihua was standing nearby and witnessed the entire scene. Ma Hongjun's once "handsome" image had completely crumbled in front of her.

"Remember this, kid! You won't get away with this!" Ma Hongjun shouted, pointing at Qin Feng in anger before quickly disappearing from the scene.

He realized that continuing the fight would only lead to more embarrassment. Qin Feng had easily shattered his second soul skill, proving that he was no ordinary opponent. It was smarter to retreat than to suffer more humiliation. He might've been fat, but he wasn't stupid.

"Such a nimble fat man," Qin Feng remarked with a faint smile. Ma Hongjun's Phoenix Fire was certainly powerful, but it was no match for Qin Feng's soul bone and superior soul rings.

"Thank you so much for your help," Cuihua said, approaching Qin Feng with gratitude.

"It was nothing, just passing by," Qin Feng shrugged.

"I heard you hadn't eaten yet, handsome. It just so happens that my family runs a small restaurant in the village. How about I treat you to a meal?" Cuihua asked, flashing a warm smile.

"Sure," Qin Feng agreed without hesitation. The Shrek Academy cafeteria was already closed by now, and he had come out specifically to find food. With a restaurant right in front of him, how could he refuse?

And so, Qin Feng followed Cuihua to her family's small restaurant. On the way, she opened up to him about her relationship with Ma Hongjun, explaining that while he was a good person, they just weren't right for each other. In love, she believed it was important to find someone who truly suited you.

Qin Feng was so hungry that he barely paid attention to what Cuihua was saying, simply nodding in agreement with whatever she said. However, he didn't realize that his casual nodding made Cuihua's face light up with a different expression.

Soon, the two arrived at the restaurant. Cuihua's family lived on the outskirts of the village, and the small restaurant was neat and clean.

"Qin Feng, please take a seat. I'll cook something for you personally," Cuihua said, guiding him to a seat in the restaurant. She poured him some tea before putting on an apron and heading to the kitchen.

Cuihua wasn't exactly stunning in appearance—just an ordinary girl—but she had a simple, down-to-earth vibe that made Qin Feng feel comfortable. He sat down, relaxing as he waited.

Meanwhile, back at Shrek College, Ma Hongjun—the fat man—returned in a rush.

"Fatty, what happened to your face? Why do you have such a big red mark?" Dai Mubai asked, noticing Ma Hongjun's flustered appearance as he ran through the college square.

"Boss Dai, I've been bullied! Cuihua was taken from me!!" Ma Hongjun cried out, rushing over to hug Dai Mubai with a pitiful expression.

If a stranger had walked by at that moment, they might have misinterpreted the scene, considering how desperate Ma Hongjun looked.

"Ahem, alright, tell me who bullied you," Dai Mubai said, awkwardly pushing Ma Hongjun off him, realizing the hug wasn't exactly a good look. He then asked Ma Hongjun to explain what had happened.

Ma Hongjun proceeded to tell Dai Mubai about the encounter with Qin Feng—though, of course, he exaggerated the story a bit.

"What?! Someone did that to you? I want to see who dares to bully my brother!" Dai Mubai fumed upon hearing Ma Hongjun's tale. The fact that someone snatched Cuihua right in front of him and even messed up his face was infuriating.

Sure, Cuihua wasn't exactly a beauty, but Ma Hongjun was still his brother. This was a blatant act of bullying, and it couldn't be ignored. Was someone really trying to pick a fight with Shrek Acadmey?

"Tang San, Xiao Wu, Rong Rong, Zhuqing, I can't join you for a campus tour right now. Oscar will take over—there's something I need to handle," Dai Mubai apologized to Tang San and the others.

"Boss Dai, if Fatty's been bullied, there's no way I'm sitting this one out! I'm coming with you," Oscar chimed in. Though he was a food-type soul master with limited attack power, there was no way he was going to let his brother get bullied without standing by his side.

"Why don't we all go with you? I'd like to see who's daring enough to go that far," Tang San added, curious about the person who had caused all this trouble.

"Yeah! I'll help you crack the guy's skull open!" Xiao Wu said, clenching her fists with determination. The former top girl of Notting College was always ready to serve justice.

Ma Hongjun stared at the group in front of him, especially the girls, completely taken aback. "Who are these people?"

"When did the school get these beautiful new girls?" he muttered to himself, wondering what had happened while he was away.

"These are the new students who just enrolled," Dai Mubai explained.

Ma Hongjun, who had been sobbing just moments before, now perked up, his eyes glued to the newcomers.

He stared particularly hard at Zhu Zhuqing, looking like he'd just seen a miracle.

"Cough! Didn't you say some kid bullied you? Shouldn't you be leading us there by now?" Dai Mubai asked, pretending to cough after noticing Ma Hongjun drooling over Zhu Zhuqing.
