Chapter 65:

"Hmph, Boss Dai, Oscar, you two are completely disloyal! You've already hogged all the new girls!" Ma Hongjun grumbled.

He was a straightforward person, and the situation before him was clear Dai Mubai and Oscar had already staked their claims.

The girl with the pigtails was clearly close to that student, and there was no chance for him there. The tall, strong girl in black? Obviously reserved for Boss Dai—Ma Hongjun wouldn't dare compete with him.

As for the sweet, slim, lovely girl? That was Oscar's target. Ma Hongjun might be desperate, but he wasn't about to steal a girl from his brother. Since Oscar was already in pursuit, he wouldn't interfere.

God, these two beasts! Ma Hongjun thought, nearly choking on his frustration. Why did I waste my time on Cuihua when I could have been pursuing one of these girls?

He regretted his choices bitterly, feeling like he had traded away treasure for mere scraps. Cuihua? he thought. She's nothing compared to these three. Why did I waste my time on her? Was it just for free food at her house?

Ma Hongjun cursed his own poor judgment. It was like picking up sesame seeds and throwing away a watermelon.

"What are you whining about? Do you want to find this guy or not?" Dai Mubai snapped, glaring at Ma Hongjun.

"Let's go! That kid's making a joke of Shrek College by bullying me!" Ma Hongjun shouted, leading the charge as a group of people set off.

Meanwhile, Qin Feng was enjoying his meal at Cuihua's family restaurant, completely unaware that Ma Hongjun had gathered a whole crowd to confront him. He sat calmly, waiting for the next dish to arrive.

To Qin Feng's delight, the aroma from the kitchen was mouthwatering. Cuihua's cooking skills were truly impressive, and the fragrance alone made his mouth water.

"Qin Feng, try this," Cuihua said, bringing over a plate of stir-fried pork with green peppers.

Seeing the dish, Qin Feng couldn't help but drool. Isn't this just like the home-cooked farm meals I miss from Earth? he thought, feeling a wave of nostalgia. This was the flavor he had been craving, and he dug in with enthusiasm.

As Qin Feng happily ate, a large group of people arrived at the scene of the earlier confrontation.

"This is where we fought! That guy must have gone to Cuihua's house—how shameless!" Ma Hongjun declared.

"Then let's head to Cuihua's house and settle this," Dai Mubai said, taking the lead. He had been to Cuihua's restaurant before—her cooking was well-known among the students. Thanks to Ma Hongjun, they often got a 50% discount.

"Let's go!" the group shouted, heading toward the restaurant with great fanfare.

Back at the restaurant, Cuihua had just finished preparing the meal. Four dishes—three meats and one vegetable—were laid out on the table, looking delicious and tempting.

"Not bad at all. Thanks for the hard work," Qin Feng said to Cuihua, noticing the sweat on her forehead. She had really put in the effort to make this meal.

"Go ahead, try it," Cuihua said with a smile, looking at Qin Feng expectantly.

Just as Qin Feng was about to dig in, a loud voice came from outside.

"Smells great! I knew that kid had to be in here!" the voice shouted.

"Who dares to lay a hand on my brother?!" Dai Mubai barged in first, followed by Xiao Wu, who charged in with righteous energy. As the former Big Sister of Notting College, she couldn't let an opportunity for justice pass by.

However, when they saw Qin Feng sitting at the table, calmly eating his meal, their fierce expressions froze.

Xiao Wu, who had looked ready for battle, quickly softened her stance.

Qin Feng, still smiling, looked up and greeted them. "Wow, your sense of smell is sharp! I was just enjoying Cuihua's cooking. Want to join me?"

Ma Hongjun, trailing behind, finally burst in. "You won't get away this time, kid! You dared to steal my Cuihua! I brought plenty of backup—let's see how you escape now!"

Panting slightly from his heavier build, Ma Hongjun took a moment to catch his breath. But when he looked around and saw the tense atmosphere, he realized something was off.

"Fatty, are you sure this guy stole Cuihua from you and beat you up for no reason?" Dai Mubai asked, his voice cold as he glanced between Ma Hongjun and Qin Feng.

Dai Mubai knew who Qin Feng was. This wasn't some random troublemaker—this was a guy with a millennium first soul ring and a ten-thousand-year second soul ring. There was clearly a powerful family behind him. Why would someone like Qin Feng bother with a village girl like Cuihua?

It didn't make sense. Ma Hongjun had to have added some exaggeration to his story. Dai Mubai was suspicious—Ma Hongjun wasn't above twisting the truth, after all.

"Y-Yes, of course! Look at how close Cuihua is to him now," Ma Hongjun stammered, despite the many eyes now glaring at him.

"Actually, you've misunderstood. Qin Feng saved me," Cuihua spoke up, her voice shaking slightly. She had been terrified that Ma Hongjun would cause trouble, so she quickly explained.

"Qin Feng saved you?" Dai Mubai and the others turned their icy stares on Ma Hongjun.

"Cuihua! We shared so many days together, and this is how you repay me? What about our time together?" Ma Hongjun wailed, shocked that Cuihua had turned on him so quickly.

"Humph! You broke up with me and then tried to force me into something else. If it weren't for Qin Feng, I don't know what would have happened," Cuihua said, her voice trembling with emotion.

The temperature in the small restaurant seemed to drop as everyone processed her words. The girls, in particular, glared at Ma Hongjun with fury in their eyes.

Though Cuihua had been polite in her explanation, it was clear what had really happened.

"Well... Boss Dai, even if I exaggerated a little, this guy still hit me!" Ma Hongjun blurted out, realizing his lies had been exposed. He decided to come clean before things got worse.

After all, he had come here to settle a score. Even if he had lied about some things, he still got punched, and that part was true.

"I think you deserved that punch," Xiao Wu said sharply, glaring at him with disgust. She had never met anyone so shameless—it completely shattered her perception of Ma Hongjun.

If Qin Feng hadn't been involved, they might have believed Ma Hongjun's version of events. But because it was Qin Feng, they immediately doubted Ma Hongjun's story.

"Xiao Wu, what are you saying? He still hit your classmate!" Ma Hongjun whined, trying to play the victim again.

Just then, Dai Mubai, who had been silent, finally spoke up.
