Ch:3 Carnage

A/N: thanks for reading i got my friend i was talking about in the synopsis to go over this one like i did the first chap unlike the second which is prob why the it wasn't very good, anyway kinda warning on this is a fairly gory chap. Hope you guys enjoy.

Normal pov:

'God damn it, why am i so rusty, sure it's been like 6 years but, damn it,' Maru fumed inside her head whilst walking towards the unsuspecting group of guards.

'Oh well nothing a good bit of training can't fix'

Maru walked up to the group and sat behind one of the guards who was too busy trying to shoot the white fang members who were attacking them.

Maru pulled her gun out and tapped his shoulder and pointed it at his forehead, noticing that it was the guard who shouted at her and Virdi this morning.

"Well hello there" she said with a smirk that probably looked like the most vicious smile the old guard had ever seen.

"H-how did someone g-get behind h-here" they old man stuttered out his old rugged voice almost whimpering due to the gun pressed on his head

"Well I came from back here of course, silly old man, your getting to old and forgetful, you even forgot that you yelled at me this morning"

"Y-you! How did you get a weapon? What are you doing? - " before the old man could continue Maru pulled the trigger sending blood and viscera all over the wall and ground behind him, the shot finally notifying all the other guards of her presence.

"Whoops, silly me, my finger slipped" Maru said with a giggle, her smile only growing wider, making her look almost demonic to the other guards, that and the fact that her usually white hair looked to have large patches of red in it and the fur on her coat being dyed a bright crimson.

The guards around her all look on in shock at the young girl who seemed to be a mix of white and crimson crouching next to the body of their colleague, with a smile that could scare even the Grimm.

Maru stood and grabbed the old guard's hair lifting his head and swiftly swung her gun's knife, cutting it clean off.

Maru turned to the other guards with the head still in her hands and said, sounding almost giddy.

"So who's next."

This set the guards off and they started to shoot at her some of the closer ones started charging bringing knives and bayonets to the ready, Maru's smile grew even more almost reaching inhuman levels as she tossed the severed head to the furthest guard as he advanced on her.

The guard dodged the head and continued to approach her, until suddenly, she vanished leaving no trace, that was until he heard 4 bone chilling words coming from right next to his ear.

"That was a mistake"

The next sound he heard was the sound of a sword unsheathing and then, in the next moment his vision turned upside down, looking up he saw his body but not how he was used to seeing it. The bottom half of his body stood without the top part, the girl behind had a smile that seemed to grow wider than humanly possible, nearly ripping her face in two and showing unparalleled levels of glee.

Maru dashed towards the nearest guard, taking further advantage of the confusion, slicing through flesh she ripped the right arm off of the surprised guard, who with panic in his eyes looked up, only to see the blade of a sword coming towards his face.

Maru's face turned to a small frown at this though not liking this battle as much.

"Come on, you lot." Maru addressed the terrified soldiers who turned around away from their confusion only to see another two of their comrades butchered pooling blood beneath the bodies.

"aren't you trained soldiers or something, Geez you shouldn't make a girl do everything." she said with a theatrical flick of hair, and shook her head. "Well come on, aren't you gonna defend your friend's honor and not let them die in vain or something?"

With that the soldiers turned from terrified to pissed in an instant making Maru's smile return.

'To easy, fucking idiots' Maru thought getting ready for the incoming onslaught.

The guards all charged at the same time hoping to overwhelm her with their numbers, but as soon as the first guard was about to reach her, she vanished. Reappearing behind him stabbing her sword through the back of his neck. She then swung her sword to rid her blade of blood, spraying it all over the ground and bodies of the two guards in front of her.

Maru looked up, blood crazed smile ever present and rushed the first of the two guards in front of her, swiftly cutting off an arm and thrusting her sword into an unprotected stomach, shoving it through with little to no resistance. The next guard watched helplessly as his comrade was cut cleanly in two. The perpetrator then disappeared before his eyes, reappearing right behind the guard, she swung, cleaving his left hand off, in turn spraying even more blood around.

Grabbing the severed hand, Maru threw it into the air letting it spray blood sporadically, watching as it then landed next to another guard.

Cutting the head off the guard's shoulders, Maru once again disappeared and then reappeared next to the severed hand she picked it up and proceeded to slap the closest guard with it, the hand made contact with the guards cheek, the wet sound that came from it was sickening but not as sickening as the giggle that followed.

"Hehe, wow guess that guy didn't like you if he's slapping you even whilst his head is rolling away"

The guard looked absolutely panicked and disgusted at her being next to him, as well as being slapped with his comrade's severed hand.

"Oh well, guess this guy wanted to get back at you. Do you think I should give him a hand in his revenge?"

She cackled, waving around the hand sending more blood everywhere. Maru then proceeded to place her sword in the hand, thenn she positioned the fingers so that the hand was holding the sword.

"Now like this I can help with that guy's revenge, I think the guy who he slapped should be first, what do you guys say?" Maru said, turning to the dead bodies behind her.

"Yay! You think so too? It really is great to be on a team" she said with another cackle, sending multiple shivers down the last 6 guards spines.

Maru then turned to face guard who she's slapped now sporting a red hand print across his face. Once again disappearing and reappearing behind the chosen guard, she swung the hand holding the sword, cutting through his midsection, then disappearing and reappearing behind two more unfortunate guards.

They weren't able to even turn their heads before they went rolling.

The 3 remaining guards turned tail and ran, but anywhere they ran Maru would be there, her signature smile still plastered on her face, now going past her feace's limits.

The guards, seeing no way out, decided to huddle up in a circle, so that they could watch every direction she could attack from. The guard who was watching Maru jumped as she disappeared again, but this time she didn't appear in front of any of the guards.

"So this has been fun, hasn't it?".

At these words all guards slowly turned around to see Maru standing in the middle of their little circle smiling wildly. At this point the guards had all been utterly petrified standing perfectly still, not even daring to move with her standing so close to them.

"I'm sorry guys I really need to end all this fun, so it seems the battling is coming to an end" Maru said, her face looking downcast .

"Hah, I really wish I could stay and play longer, but you know how it is. Oh well hope you can forgive me" with this she swung her sword it spring around in a circle, hitting three bodies and swiftly slashing through them.

Standing in a field of blood and body parts Maru sighed "I really wished I could continue that, oh well the white fang seem to be wrapping things up, wonder if they'll take me if I ask to join, meh they probably will" with a carefree smile she began to skip merely away from the carnage.

A/N : one final thing to end this off i want to ask if anyone can guess what Maru's semblance is because it will be fun to know what other people see when they read this.
