Chapter Twelve: Li wei's Transformation

"Wait, did you say that when you woke up, you were covered with black stuff that stinks?" The village head's curiosity was piqued as he probed further into Li Wei's tale.

"Yes," replied Li Wei absentmindedly, his mind already wandering elsewhere.

The village head's interest turned to concern as he scrutinized Li Wei. "Let me check your body." He approached Li Wei and studied him closely. "Hmm, your skin is soft and smooth, like a baby's skin, and your bones are stronger than before. You seem even taller," he observed, a note of awe in his voice.

As the village head evaluated Li Wei's physical condition, his thoughts wandered. "This brat is really lucky to eat that spiritual fruit. A pity it was only two. If not, the whole village could have gotten stronger," he mused.

"Li Wei, your sickness has been cured," the village head declared, a pleased smile forming on his lips. "You can now start practicing with the spear."

Li Wei's eyes widened in feigned happiness. "Oh, wow! That's awesome!" he exclaimed, his voice tinged with gratitude and excitement.

The village head patted Li Wei's back, a warm gesture of support. "You've been through quite an ordeal, my boy. It's good to see you healthy again. Make the most of this newfound strength and train hard."

Li Wei nodded, his expression a mix of gratitude and determination. "Thank you, village head. I'll put in the effort and become a skilled spear wielder."

As the village head walked away, Li Wei leaned against a nearby wall, his facade of gratitude fading to reveal his true thoughts. "Lucky for me that bastard Long San had not lied to me and the pain was worth it". A little show of my acting skills, and now I have the village head's blessing to train with the spear."

With a wry grin, Li Wei looked towards the horizon, his eyes filled with anticipation. The village head's validation was a stepping stone on his path to becoming the Spear Emperor. The journey ahead was paved with both challenges and triumphs, and he was ready to face them all, one calculated step at a time.
