A Failed Batch?

Rizz motioned with his hand. "Can you bring it here? I'll get started on the binding agent first while the blood's fresh."

Rhoro dragged the carcass over without delay. He intently watched as Rizz worked his alchemical magic.

Noting the ice covering the killing wound, Rizz smiled. "Thanks for keeping as much blood intact as possible. This will help Jaaga make a safe recovery."

With an acknowledging nod, Rhoro walked back to the resting Jaaga. The larger Frostcat slid her onto his back and carried her closer to Rizz's boulder workbench. Then, they both laid together, cuddling in wait for the goblin to deliver on his promise.

Rizz slowly lifted the beast carcass against the edge of his workbench.

At the center of the mostly flat boulder were smashed bits of bluetail stalks and some smeared remains of frost blossom petals. Rizz took another few minutes to smash it all further. He continued till there was only a blue-green paste with white flecks.
