Promise Me One Thing

"Ha, ha!" Skrod laughed and smiled at the low-level goblin. "Just because it's true doesn't make it hurt any less, especially coming from a weak goblin. No offense."

Rizz regained his composure with a nod. "None taken, for now. I don't intend to stay this weak for long, but I can't say the same thing for your tribes… I guess you're at least as strong as your environment instead of being weaker."

"You've got a good eye and a sharp mind, Master Rizzio." Skrod bowed his head once more. "Then you already know what deal to take. I promise to never look down on you, at least not in a prideful way. I'll only look down so I can look you in the eye."

"I still have a couple more questions…" Rizz let a pause hang in the air to keep their attention, and also to keep his own thoughts on track with his emerging intentions.

"What will it be worth if I can save them all? And this isn't me claiming it's possible, I'm just asking what it might earn me."
