Abydah, the Slapdash Mountain Town

As a cool, autumn breeze drifted by, the warmth of the midday sun was a welcome feeling. It was the perfect time to be out and about, handling business or running errands.

In every direction, a mountain peak was somewhere in the line of sight. But within walking distance, there were a few dozen buildings gathered around a crudely circular clearing. Anyone crossing through could spot at least a couple hundred people wandering between the buildings for all sorts of reasons.

There were a few restaurants that were the main attraction of the hour. A handful of inns or hotels were in reach as well. Some general or specialized stores of all sizes had been scattered about.

Over eighty percent of the pedestrians were beastfolk. Some tribes were more represented than others but it was rare to find a stand-alone beastfolk with no matching tribesmen.
