Speedrunning Daily Errands

To the southeast of town, a pair of guards stood outside of a heavy wooden gate, just as they did every day.

A third man stood outside as well, fidgeting with his coarse, white, button-down shirt.

"Young Master Aakur, you don't need to be out here–"

"I'll wait for the exchange myself," the molekin man snapped back. "It's nearly noon and we were promised a delivery. So I will continue to wait here, where I can receive the goods swiftly."

Aakur glanced at the sun. Over. And over again. His foot tapped the dirt, gaining a bit more speed as the minutes passed.

"Come on, Rizz," Aakur mumbled under his breath. "Do not fail me before we've even begun."

"Looks like you're expecting someone?"

A voice called out from afar, alerting Aakur. However, he failed to spot anyone aside from the gate guards.

"Rizz, is that you?!"
