Chapter 32 - Fueling Sai’s Spirit [Part 2]

Fueling Sai's Spirit [Part 2]

"Hey Sai, are you awake-"

I stood still struggling to hold onto the hilt of my sword as throbbing waves of energy shot from the hilt to the tip of the blade coating the blade like paint.

The translucent golden hue lit up the hut as the energy pulsated the wave of energy began to revert back onto my body.

With each pulse I was hit by rush of force akin to the ocean against a ship on a stormy day. The air in the hut became heavy, which made it hard to breath and the dust on the floor became unsettled contaminating the once-tranquil atmosphere of the hut.

I tried to contain the force the aura blade created by limiting the amount of mana I was channeling into it, this task became extremely strenuous and the mana I had good control over during training was now behaving rebellious.

I was unable to even release the sword from my grasp as the mana exerted from my hand reinforced my grip unto the blade.

The rate at which my mana drained increased as the pulsing wave increased even more crashing into me and my surroundings each wave hit like a truck to my body disrupting my consciousness.

It became difficult to even keep my eyes open as my brain blocked out with with each hit and the aura around the blade grew larger and larger.

The once translucent golden hue was now a solid opaque block of mana manifested around the blade of my sword.

It grew heavier as the aura deepened in color and my hand began to cry out as it muscle that supported my grasp to hold the blade began to rip under the weight.

Yet my body stagnated not allowing me to move a muscle or to even drop my hands to my side.

The wave of aura grew thicker and heavier and the sounds it created were tantamount to a beating heart that grew louder and louder drowning out any sounds from my background.

Small pebbles and debris began to levitate, going higher and higher as the amount of time i held the sword lengthened.

I was no longer conscious of my surroundings as I blacked in and out fighting to remain conscious under such pressure.

"Ara.. Oh My, What a bothersome lad… you truly are beyond the levels of genius, a monster indeed." A soft voice broke through the ringing sounds that echoed throughout my ear canals and register into my brain.

I slowly opened my bloodshot eyes as my partially clouded vision was able to confirm the outline of a feminine figure before me.

I was not able to see her face but I was sure there was a teasing smile on her face. The one she usually wore whenever she came across something that interested her or if she wanted to take advantage of me and my diffidence around women.

A small smile emerged on my lips and my body reflexively relaxed knowing the situation was now settled as her presence brought about that level of reliability.

Her soft hands gentlely held onto my left hand that held the blade and a warmth enveloped my hand, despite my clouded bloodshot vision I was able to see the purple hue coat my golden hue, I watched as both our manas melded together recreating that beautiful mix of gold and purple.

"This is only possible because it's you."

Her usual teasing smile great even more to the point it became vivid through my clouded vision.

The pulsing calmed down and I felt the urge to apologize as I slowly regained control of my body.

I opened my mouth to speak but instead of words my mouth was filled with the thick liquid that had the bitterness of blood, the same liquid tricked from my nose.

I instantly lost all the strength in my body am which caused my joints to lose their dependence.

"I'm -orr-

I managed to form a few letters before my eyes closed completely and I fell forward into her arms.

Once again nostalgia hits as am faced with the familiar wooden roof of the hut staring back at me.

I sat up slowly expecting to feel sluggish and in pain as the memories of my situation flooded back to me but instead I felt invigorated.

I sat up immediately looking around as the hut that was supposed to be messy from the commotion early now in its proper condition almost as if nothing had happened.

I looked down at my body expecting the usual tunes that would be present in these situations but instead I was met with a thick bloom like liquid that was plastered all over my body.

The smell then hit my nose causing me to wince as my olfactory nerves rejected the putrid smell of the liquid covering my body.

I jumped to my feet in an instant wondering what was the liquid that stained my skin.

I looked down in horror as the realization set in that this same liquid was now stuck to my bedding.

I grabbed my bedding and rushed out of the hut in a hurry.

With each step my body propelled with more force and before I knew it I was in the middle of a towering trees.

My mobility suprised me momentarily and I attempted to stop but the force i was already moving with was beyond anything I've been able to do even when reinforced with mana my body was still heavy and my mobility only increased by about thirty percent.

But now I was nimble and moving at a speed that would have me banned from any racing competition.

I outclassed many man-made mode of land transport.

My surrounding blurred as I moved, by the time I was able to draw to an halt I had already made it to the lake.

I stood frozen in my tracks, I was completely bewildered at my speed that was about ten times faster than earth's max human speed standard of 27.78 miles per hour.

"What The Fu-
