Chapter 31 - Fueling Sai’s Spirit [Part 1]

Continuously practicing mana chanelling then ending each session with projection training.

Taking a deep breath enhances my focus to the max, which is then followed by diverting the flow of my mana to my arm and then to a singular point in my palm.

A golf ball-sized mana flame is then formed levitating in my palm, this shows the amount of mana I could control at a given moment.

Doing this daily also increases my mana sensitivity and my versatility to levels beyond the range that skills could.

I could enhance my vision or even my earring just by increasing the mana flowing to these parts of my body and the increased sensitivity allows me to sense my surroundings without the need for ky detection skill.

Unlike my detection skill, which senses the life force of living beings around me up to a range based on the level of the skills.

Unlike my detection skills, my mana passively searches my surroundings using mana frequencies that act similarly to a sonar used by submarines.

It resonates with the frequencies of mana signals around me or gets reflected by inanimate objects which could essentially allow me to navigate a maze with my eyes closed.

I don't have a proper explanation of how it works but that's what I concluded. The perk is it's always active and I don't have much control over it I can only pick up on the frequencies or tell the difference in two individuals' mana levels just by the frequencies they reflect.

My detection skill, on the other hand, is superior to this passive ability as it allows me to sense an individual's life signals from a great distance and essentially maps the distance between me and each individual it detects.

Mana sense, or the name over given is quite a useful ability that if used on a mass scale would make people question the relevance of getting skills that do the same thing it does.

If others were generally able to access abilities like this with just a month's worth of Mana training they wouldn't waste skills slots on skills like detection even though it's an inferior version of detection that you're unable to turn off.

Plus a downside to this ability is that it limits one ability to sleep properly as it not only senses the mana frequencies in humans but also monsters and insects and constantly detecting such things while sleeping in a hut midst the forest is torture.

I pulled up my status board while sitting on my hay sack, I've been so focused on trading that I've neglected so many other things.

I looked up at the weapons leaning on the side of the hut as that thought crossed my mind.

The resolve to get stronger and save Sheena and Ellen grew even more and my attention was then diverted back to my status panel;

Mana Core of Acceptance - [Activated]

A core formed in the heart to passively store mantarai accepted in the body. Mantarai stored in the core of Acceptance will be mixed with one's life force and become mana.

Warning - Upon Emptying the core of acceptance one's life will be at risk.

The core of Enlightenment - [Activated]

A core formed in the brain after one learns to Chanel and purify mana. Pure mana is stored in the core of enlightenment, Purer mana has an increased density and an increased value per Unit allowing one to utilize less mana for skills or spell activation.

Mana capacity - 15% x 10

I was a bit surprised by the changes in my status panel, I remembered a few things being different a while back plus the changes in my mana were something I couldn't miss.

If I remember correctly my mana capacity after the dungeon break was about 200 thousand now am at 600 thousand.

My guess is this massive increase has something to do with a mana Capacity of 15% x 10

Those fruits were amazing.

Not only my mana my skills that achieve star five are ready to break through but the only one that I've met the requirement to break through is weapon mastery.

The skills Weapon mastery was now highlighted and I noticed the name changed from mastery to Master.

I was shocked the speechless effects gained just from the skill evolving was crazy I grabbed the sword the leaned against the wall by the entrance of the hut to test the new specs of my skills as my excitement had reached its peak.
