For some unknown reason I had put on the lifeline belt. I knew it was a weakness, that if I was stupid enough someone might come along and just push the button. But maybe it was the one I wanted.

I no longer wanted to win the circuit to get Aaron's money, I had to survive to destroy the virtual reality helmet and send Bill to the recycling center.

My room stopped and was illuminated by a red light that started blinking every second.

"Attention players, the circuit has started, use your instinct to win and best of luck to all" Said the voice through the walls.

I swallowed some saliva and opened the door to my room. No doubt the place had changed. It was a building covered in metal that looked like it was about to break. As I stepped on it I could feel the echo through the walls and underneath it. It would certainly give away my position, but it would also give away my opponents.
