105. Aaron

Weeks had passed since my arrival at Jin's workshop. The wounds had almost completely healed. As time went by, I discovered that, somehow, this corner of the city was becoming a refuge, a place where security and calm began to weave themselves into my reality.

I was in a stage of convalescence, but not only in physical terms. The emotional scars, though more resistant, were also beginning to give way to the comforting environment that Jin had provided. The nights, once filled with nightmares and shadows, were becoming less oppressive.

Good food became a balm for the stomach, and the comfortable bed offered a restorative respite. For the first time in my life, I was somewhere comfortable, surrounded by things that made me forget, at least for a moment, the heavy burden I was carrying.
