106. Aaron

The weeks passed in a back-and-forth of days that seemed to slip by with no clear purpose. Despite my initial attempts to escape, I found myself increasingly caught in the web of daily life with Jin.

Although the nights continued to envelop me in a restful sleep that seemed to trap me in its embrace, my days became a mix of attending to customers in the workshop and helping to repair cars and appliances. The routine, which at first seemed monotonous, became a sort of temporary refuge, a distraction that somehow kept me from the constant question of when it would be time to escape.

Jin, with his ability to read between the lines, seemed to understand my internal struggle. Although the word "goodbye" continued to echo in the back of my mind, each passing day seemed to seal my connection to that place more tightly.
