Shards of the Broken Heart

Ishmael's swing was fierce and filled with great momentum, as Anais could barely defend herself with the twinblades.

Spark flashed when the metals collided as Anais slightly deflected away the spear from its designated path towards her neck. However, the momentum behind the attack pushed Anais backwards.

Going along with the absorbed momentum, she exquisitely distanced herself from Ishmael. While withdrawing, she didn't forget to swipe a few more throwing knives at him.

Ishmael, surprised by the outcome of his surefire insta-kill attack, looked at her more seriously than before as Anais had not deflected the attack, but also, she didn't suffer from any injury or backlash.
