[Chapter 7] No Way Out

[One of White Tiger's Warehouse]

[Morning 11:04 am]

[~3 Days Before the Wolfie's Assault~]

...

Argon continues taking Victor's attack head on, only dodging the very lethal ones that could kill him instantly. This antagonizes Victor, causing him to increase the power of his fire, burning off more of his lifespan, leaving him with 35 years left to live.

Argon couldn't help but be astonished by his younger brother's strength. But seeing another attack shooting straight towards him, he stops his gaze of admiration and hides behind a brick wall him to dodge the incoming attack.

Victor: "Aw, how cute~ I never knew you fancy being a mouse."

He commented on his brother running around to find hiding places to avoid his white balls of blue fire.

Chelsea: {He's not wrong.}

Yulius: {Hm, it's like a live action of Tom and Jerry.}

Chelsea: {Right? I was just thinking that too!}

The older brother manages to tuck himself between a broken wall, avoiding another measly fireball. This really got him thinking, what if it wasn't him who succeed the throne. If Victor was this talented back then, why couldn't he be the patriarch of the White Tiger Clan. If this was the case, neither of them would be in this situation.

The what ifs linger heavily on his mind as he continues moving wall from wall to avoid incoming fireballs. Unfortunately, too caught up in his thoughts, he got hit by one, sending him flying into debris.

'Damn, he's gotten stronger. I couldn't be prouder.' He thought happily even though this meant his situation has worsen.

Victor: "C'mon, fight back brother. Unless you're a p*ssy."

He tried to aggravate Argon, though the end result were the same. He did not once fight back and let his twin continued bullying him, tossing him side to side, igniting him on fire, blowing him up, etc. Basically, all the things a sadistic bastard could come up with to torture someone with their fire-like abilities.

"Pathetic."

"Weakling."

"Is our patriarch really this weak?"

"If he's this weak, couldn't I be the patriarch the entire time."

Arrogant, delusional elders voice out their thoughts. Those loyal to Argon couldn't help but curl up their fist, ready to beat down any one of the elders for daring to talk down on their patriarch. Fortunately, they were smart enough to know the second one of them rose their hand on the faction loyal to Victor, an all-out battle would follow leaving both sides with heavy causalities.

Purple made eye contact with those who tightened their fists with him and gave them nods of approval as they convey their deepest sincere apologies for not being able to do more for Argon as the only faction who appears loyal to him still. He dismissed their apologizes as there were nothing really for them to apologize for and instead sign to them in morse code that now, was not the right time to act upon their aggression and we should wait.

All that is happening goes unnoticed by Victor's faction and as usual, only the Eminence representatives seem to take notice in some of the White Tiger's clan members odd behavior. It seems that the individuals who show resistance against Argon's display of weakness are patience, resilience awakeners who know when and where the right moment it is for them to show their power.

Victor's faction appears to be enticed by their current patriarch beatings and his rule over the strongest of the fittest. They are unguarded especially around awakeners they've just met, and their egos could inflate a balloon the size of an elephant. Too busy cheering on Victor and displaying their disapproval of the White Tiger's current patriarch, they're incapable of seeing the 75 possible outcomes that could occur from not guarding themselves properly.

Yulius counted 76 ways to kill everyone in the room with the pen in her left pocket. Half of which, are all about the angles, while 1/4 are instant kill. The heart, the brain, the spine, the eyes that happens to collide with the brain so the offendant will definitely feel pain before their death within 3 second, their private part, etc. All of which will be fast, swift, and precise. Some more painful than the other, but the results will be no different.

Being the only one noticing her sister's odd, plumpy, scary behavior, Chelsea quickly distances herself from Yulius as she eyes her sister twirling a rather sharp pointy looking pen on her left dominate hand with an unreadable expression. Don't get her wrong, Yulius always had a poker face on, but she could always read what's going on in Yulius's head. But even then, that's all because she allows her too.

Right now, it would seem like she is planning something big, one where everyone in the room will catch a glimpse of one of Eminence's chairwomen true potential. Part of her is particularly excited for the bloodshed that is to come from her twin while the other half is scare.

Scare of her, of course not...

Scare of what's to come to the arrogant elders who happens to be staring at a minor's body with such a lewd expression. Openly at that with not a hint of shame. Why, that's also a no, of course.

Then what is she so scare of.

Well, we would have to go back in time before their reincarnation.

[Los Angeles, Genesis and Lionheart Residence]

[Afternoon 3:37 pm]

...

It was supposed to be a joyous day. Both good, bad, and the scar ones will come to remember it as it was the Genesis and Lionheart's daughter's 7th birthday.

It was all going well. Genesis and Lionheart's had a lot of connections which meant lots of people were going to attend their child's birthday party with theirs. Famous people edging from celebrities who portrayed in popular films, to singer or song writers to business owners.

Everyone was having fun. The children were forced to mingle with one another to become acquaintance. The adults were busy drinking light acholic drinks as the only reason why they haven't drunk themselves till they were drunk was because it was a children's event and if it weren't for that case, many would be lying on the floor spouting nonsense.

About 30 minutes into Yulius and Chelsea's birthday party, Christopher Howard, from the Howard family that came from new money tapped lightly against his wine cup with a fork to get everyone's attention.

With all eyes on him, he proceeds to congratulate the twins and their sisterly bonds. All was going well until he announced something that caught everyone off-guard. Wondering whether or not they had a few too many drinks to have misheard him.

"... And with that, I feel honor to propose a wedded bond between my 16-year-old son Alexander Howard and Chelsea Lionheart."

*GASP*

*CRACK*

Many gasped in shocked while some glassware came crashing down.

"Now I know they're a bit young..."

'You think?!'

'A bit?!'

'The f*ck?!'

Many looked at the Howard family like a mad man.

"But my son Alex is willing to wait until Chelsea is of age to be wedded."

"....."

"So, what is your answer Mr. and Mrs. Lionheart? My proposal sounds lovely, doesn't it?"

Meanwhile with Yulius the second she heard yet another 'lovely' marriage proposal from an overage mother trucker.

Yulius: "Hello there, may I borrow that?"

She pointed toward the pen residing in a young man's suit pocket with the sweetest smile that does not meet her eyes.

"Urme, sure?" He gave her the pen without much thought to it and with that, she walked away towards the commotion that has occurred with her childhood best friend's family.

Almost the second he asked for the Lionheart's opinion, a pen came speeding through as fast as a bullet, scraping the side of his cheek before colliding with a glasses wine bottle, shattering upon impact which in turn, change the pen's trajectory towards the Howard's son, Alex's private part.

It all happened so quickly, but a total of 8 were quick to infer the culprit was Yulius. And those were of course, Chelsea and her parents, her own parents who were secretly grinning, family friends who are close to them and know full well the capabilities of both Yulius and Chelsea, the Howard family because she was making a particularly obvious side eye, she could muster that was impossible for Alex who was down on his knees, holding his crotch to avoid her menacing glare, daring him to say something or continue on.

And last but not least, the man she 'borrowed' the pen from. Borrowed would be an understatement as she has no intention of returning something contaminated with filth that could plague 5 generations. Or so she said. Anyways, she plans to give the generous man a generous check for his kindness.

Yes, that's right, for his kindness. Totally not to keep his mouth shut. Hehe.

As for how the generous man knows, the pen in front of the pitiful and now infertile Alex is a dead give-away making it easy to put two in two together.

...

Just thinking about it gave the previous Lionheart chills. A pen in the Seo's elder twin hands is a no go. The last time she had one she 1, almost slit someone's throat, 2 made someone infertile, 3 stab someone in the shoulder, and 4... Right, 4 has yet to occur. Even so, a pen in Yulius hand means one thing, a disaster is about to befall on someone and hopefully, it isn't her.

May all those elders rest in peace.

They will be missed.

*Aherm*

No, they won't.

But their sacrifice is needed either way so...

R.I.P.
