[Chapter 20] Foxes V/s Wolves Part 10 ~ Kyro V/s Zef

[South Korea, Wolves Headquarters]

[Midnight 12:06 am]

[Attack Commence on the Wolves]

...

Face to face with Kitsune, Kyro couldn't help but sneer in distain on his life choices.

Kyro: "I'm disappointed in you Zefron, really. I had high hopes for you, and you do this. How disgusting."

Zef: "The only disgusting thing I see here is you, Kyro. I wonder what would happen if everyone in this room were to know the true you. Your disgusting self!"

He said, earning confused looked from everyone in the room.

'What could Kitsune be talking about?'

'What is he on about?'

'Kyro-sama's true self?'

Many questioned as they looked to the fox clan head and wonder. Kyro ignored their stares, knowing full well that if he showed any signs of weakness, they would become more suspicious of him then they already are. Kyro laughed, playing it cool.

Kyro: "I'm afraid I don't know what you're talking about."

Zef: "Yes you do. In fact, many of the elites know, but they wouldn't dare utter a single word about that matter as they're nothing more but your lap dogs."

What he said couldn't be truer than it already was. But neither side crave in nor agreed with what he stated. Instead, they looked at Zefron with fury. Even though they obey their master like any good dog would to their owner for treats, they dislike being seen or told as one.

Something Zefron wouldn't dare to say if he was still affiliated with the foxes. After all, it's troublesome and he's not one who enjoys trouble. And calling the elites of the fox clans nothing more but mere lap dogs is a start. A start he wouldn't of like to do if not for the current situation.

And the current situation has changed. One where he's no longer affiliated with the foxes, and he couldn't quite care less if he insulted the fox clan as long as his master didn't mind.

Kyro: "Enough of this talk! Let's just fight it out like real men's do."

Zef laughed at what he said, confusing many. "It's funny really, because if that were the case, you wouldn't have cowardly run away from a single battle when it got too difficult. You're not a man Kyro, but a p*ssy!"

This anger the fox patriarch while many questioned if what Kitsune said was all true. Did their patriarch really run away from battles when it got too hard? While others snickered quietly at the latter part of what he said.

Kyro: "Enough with this nonsense!"

He shouted, before running full speed ahead towards Kitsune's direction as he sent multiple fireballs his way. Many fox members quickly moved out of the way, along with some nearby wolf members, to avoid the attacks while also getting out of both parties way in their brawl with one another.

Zefron dodge all of them before meeting Kyro's punch head on. He blocks with both his arms, crossing them together to form an X, where he's blasted a bit back due to the strength of the fox patriarch punch.

He recovers quickly as he moves to the left side to avoid another one of Kyro's strikes before countering back, kicking his left foot towards the side of Kyro's ribs. He manages to block it in time, but the speed of his attack pushed him back slightly.

Kyro dust himself off, looking at Zefron in an arrogant manner.

Kyro: "Not bad, if I do say so myself. But not good enough."

He says, swirling his fingers upward, igniting the landmines beneath Zef.

*BOOM*

Zefron somehow avoided his attack, but still got caught in the explosion, burning a small part of his left ankle. He couldn't help but wince slightly at the pain. But before he had a chance to catch his breath, his previous patriarch sent more fireballs his way.

He at first, dodges both left and right for some, but his burned left him incapable of maximizing his full mobility leaving him to block some with his arms. Of course, after reinforcing them with his energy as taking the full blunt attack is nothing more but reckless and dangerous.

Unfortunately, he didn't account for Kyro to engage in close combat so while blocking his fireballs, he couldn't see the fox patriarch making his way towards him through the smoke. However, once he began to notice his disappearance, it was too late.

Kyro landed a punch directly to his face, sending him back into a wall. He didn't stop there, rushing towards Zefron's fallen body cover in debris as he sent more hot flames. Zef got up as quickly as he could, putting a lot of pressure on his non injured leg, before jumping to the side to avoid all the fireballs.

But being in midair, made him incapable of defending himself fully from incoming attacks. Which was exactly what the fox clan head aimed for. He kicked big debris enhanced with his flames towards Zefron's way, injuring him badly as he could do nothing but tanks those attacks with his arms.

He continued to block as Kyro sent more debris cover in flames his way before he finally landed on the ground. Not in one peace though as one of Kyro's last attacks knocked the brains out of him, sending him rolling.

Zef's brain pounded and so did his injuries. He knew his injuries will only continue to worsen as the battle continues, but he still did not stop. He couldn't accept the fact that he can't land a single hit on his brother's murder. And he won't stop until he did.

His master Yulius, watched with an unreadable expression. Partly because her new subordinate is currently being pounded in the head, quite miserably at that, but she cannot interfere. This is his battle. Not hers. All she can do is stand there and wait for him to complete a part of his desired revenge.

The rest, she will deal with. But for now, she won't make unnecessary movement unless Zefron's life is at risk. Unlikely as that is, Kyro has a reputation for keeping his enemies that he views as new worthy test subjects alive. So, chances are, he won't eliminate Zefron just yet.

After all, Zefron's talents are one of a kind. If anyone is worthy of being one of his little experiments, it is none other than Kitsune himself. With that awful thought in mind, the Seo brushes away any needless worries for her new recruit's safety and focuses on the battle while also keeping each and every wolf and fox members in her sight.

You can never be too cautious and though they cannot sense her presence, the same couldn't be said for the wolves as at any moment, the foxes could just kill off any one of them as they pleased. Moreover, some newbie wolves may panic and think of the battle between Kyro and Zef as a perfect distraction to escape.

However, with most of the foxes still in their 9-tails fox transformation, nothing can get passed their cheat-like senses. Most of them being from Kyro's loyal fraction which makes it highly likely for them to hunt the wolves down till extinction. And though protecting them will reveal her identity, it's better than having her targeted recruits get annihilated in front of her very eyes.

Moreover, seeing their protector protect them from harm's way increases the chances of the wolves joining Eminence. Not that they have any choice in that matter as regardless, they will be integrated into her organization. But personally, she would like it if they joined out of their own free willed. Not forced.

Even if they don't join out of their own free will, Shiro, their patriarch is more than 100% likely to follow her. If the wolf clan's patriarch follows her, wouldn't the rest too? Which was why it didn't concern her on whether or not they trusted her or if her act to protect the wolves increase the level of trust they had for her.

The end result would be with the wolves and some members of the fox clan joining Eminence alongside the white tigers. As for why Shiro would even follow her in the first place well, he himself already seen what cruel acts the fox patriarch has done in order to gain power. This led him to suspect that other clans may have a hand in this too.

Moreover, the war today taught him that he's incapable of leading. His arrogance against the foxes led to their defeat and many lives lost. And though many of his loyal wolf members may disagree, he can't help but feel guiltily responsible for everything that was clearly out of his hand.

Following Yulius and Chelsea will not only grant them protection but also power. Something he cannot fully provide for his wolf clan. Making all the more reason to join Eminence. With that thought in mind, Shiro sternly made his decision for the entirety of the wolf clan's future, to serve these unusual set of twins.

Although he doesn't know why he thinks they're unusual, but something tells him they are beyond freaky. Especially the one acting as Kyro's daughter. She has a lot of nerves to pose as his daughter. If ever a slight suspicion that she isn't his, that can end with her death.

Then again, shown with how easily one of the twins healed all his wounds and still not look exhausted one bit is really something. As this fully convinced him that they are more than strong enough to deal with Kyro and the entirety of both his and the fox clan.

So, rest assured, the wolf clan's future in their hands is nothing more but the best conclusion. Their hope for survival, and more. Knowing this, his nerves calm significantly as he continued to observe the battle.

As for how many couldn't see Shiro's opened eyes, Yulius took countermeasures and took out a cloth from her infinite storage, that is see through but only on his end. Nobody but her and her sister could see he was awake or alive for that matter.

All the better because if anybody found out that the wolf patriarch was still very much alive, their plans will end up in shambles with Kyro instantly getting serious and riding Zef from the world before heading towards Shiro to finished what he started.

And though Yulius would definitely step in to protect him, the same couldn't be said for the surviving wolves that will definitely get in Kyro's way to stop him from reaching their master. Thus, showing their immense loyalty for their clan head once again.

Moreover, if that were to occur, Chelsea would definitely interfere which blows her cover completely. Personally, she doesn't care if her cover is blown, but in her opinion, it ruins the fun of messing with your opponents. Something Yulius would never understand and still doesn't about her twin.

All in all, it would just be complete chaos leading to more work for Yulius to clean up. Reversing wolves and some of the fox's members death is already a lot as it is. Doing more from there on is just troublesome.

Which was why she planned Shiro to fake his death as it is crucial to her plans. Kyro lowers his guard, making it easier to get rid of him while also lowering casualties and deaths overall on both sides. Meaning less clean up and energy being used, and more business talking going on. Easier said than done, being here for many exhausting hours when all she wanted to do was be at home and sleep.

She can't help but sigh tiredly as she witnesses Zefron getting whacked in the face again. Is it really hard to punch someone in the face? Or on any body part? It is true Zefron landed some good hits on Kyro, but they were all blocked, so they don't really count.

Moreover, his aim is straight for Kyro's face which he is failing miserably at to complete. It hurts just watching, but Yulius respects Zefron's wishes to not interfere until he at least gets one punch in.

Something she has a hard time believing. But can you blame her when the past 5 minutes, all he's been doing is getting whammy all over his entire body. Literally, his entire body is liter with bruises, scratches and burns.

And it only gets worse from there as all the observer winces when Zefron got kneed in the face. Cracks could be heard echoing the entire building. Just the cracks alone are enough to let everyone know that it was, indeed, very painful. He must've broken many bones by now, but knowing Zefron's desire for revenge, he won't stop getting back up.

Over and over again.

Something Yulius once again, admired greatly about his character. He doesn't know when to give up when he sets his mind on something. This could be very bad and good at times as many would agree that what he's doing right now is nothing more but pure recklessness.

But reckless is good. In fact, sometimes it is need. To take a chance on a whim that may or may not work. But that's the thrill of it. Of course, there is always the fact that that recklessness will be the result of his death, but Zefron couldn't care less.

He has full trust that if things go wrong, his master will save him. So, he continued to let his body get batter, beaten over and over again, waiting for the right moment for Kyro to let his guard down even for just a slight second, so he can take aim and hit his target without any worries.

And that's exactly what he did.

Kyro: "Is that all you got?! You were speaking so proudly earlier! Where is that mouth now?!"

He arrogantly spouted, lowering his guard slightly after hitting Kitsune right in the face before slamming him down to the ground. The impact caused Kitsune to spat tons of blood out, but he didn't care. Even when his body crippled in pain, urging him to surrender, he ignored their calls.

Or maybe he just didn't give a sh*t at all. As he knew that once this was over, his master will heal his body back in good shape.

So, he gave little to no resistance to all of Kyro's attack. He didn't care what his body felt or how it was damage all over, he firmly looked ahead with intent to complete his desired mission no matter the cost.

And that's exactly what he did.

Just as Kyro pulled him by his bloody collar up to face him, he concentrated all the energy and pain he was feeling in his only good arm left, which was his right dominate arm, and swiftly punched Kyro right in the face, immediately dropping his damaged body due to the impact of his punch as it sent him flying.

*BAM*

Seeing Kyro's flying body, he felt a little happy. Happier if his attack would've actually done damage, but for now he'll settle with a direct punch to his face. Yet knowingly, his heart seems at ease. Don't get him wrong, it was still beating a million beats per second, but it felt like something lifted from his soul, lessening his burden.

It was then he knew that at last, he accomplished his mission, his goal, and part of his desired revenge for his brother Zachary. All that is left, is leaving it in the hands of his master's to deal with not only Kyro's, but everyone in the room's fate. One he surely can't wait to watch and enjoy every little second of.
