A new tomorrow

The very world had felt as if it stopped, all movements halting to a painful crawl. Breathing became useless, with no air going in or out, it simply wasn't there at all. Time losing its primordial meaning, becoming utterly meaningless.

Has death finally embraced him? As it was promised? The feeling of painful shackles holding him down is still there, but somehow different… lessened but not truly broken. Without a clear white expanse, nor the pitch-black darkness of oblivion.

If anything, it felt like closing your eyes, not seeing anything but being able to feel the world. Is this death? Will Nataly come to meet him as promised? No… it didn't feel like the embrace of death…

Trying to open his eyes to see the world, a sudden heaviness makes itself present, resting against his chest. His entire body felt wet. Something is wrong. Eyelids snap open to reveal the world. It is the scenery of a black forest, so thick and dense that no sunlight can get inside of it.
