The end of hope 3

Lily dropped the hug and nodded, her blue eyes shining with determination, her face dead serious. It was a face fit for a warrior, a face she shouldn't have. She was too young to have those eyes, but, as he feared, the new world was taking its toll on the younger generation.

While her eyes held hope, she had lost the same innocence she had in the past. "If only I hadn't been so weak in the past," he thought, closing his eyes in solemnity, preparing for the big news coming his way.

It would reveal the rotten parts his friends wanted to hide from him and what was transpiring inside those city walls. Lily inhaled deeply, her shoulders straightening as she readied herself to go over the details of what happened while Kyrie was gone.

"You see, I developed the power to use magic... and I have prophetic dreams from time to time. It showed me you were alive, mister. My dreams told me you would return to us one day." Lily exhaled, her heartbeats hastening.
