A New Beginning

The driver of the car who brought me and Kinai-san dropped me off at my apartment. They sure knows a lot about me from just one incident with their daughter huh.

I was told to move in early tomorrow since it was the weekend. I had no reason to refuse since I can finally be freed from this nightmare. Right? I walked inside the apartment with dirty clothes everywhere. I should clean this up tomorrow. I struggled through the pile of clothes until I reached the bedroom where as soon as I hit the bed, I fell asleep…

The sound of stabbing haunts my ears. The sound of blood splattering filled my ears as I hid in the corner. My vision became blank.

"Why did you try to save me?"

"What the hell were you doing?"

"Why are you so useless?"

"I cannot believe we had a son like you."

"AHHHHHHH"

I opened my eyes to the sound of birds chirping outside. My body was full of sweat and my eyes filled with tears. I looked around to see nothing but dirty clothes filling my bedroom. This dream again.

"My parents won't ever say that to me."

"My parents won't ever say that to me."

"My parents won't ever say that to me…"

"Right?"

Ding

The sound of the doorbell woke me from my contemplation. I got dressed immediately and opened the door. Kinai-san was waiting there for me.

"Hello Juni-kun! How was your sleep? I am here to help you move!"

I looked past her shoulders and saw a huge moving truck below my apartment. Right. Today is the day I start my new life.

"Ah good morning Kinai-san, thank you. I will be in your family's care starting today."

Kinai-san hugged me by the shoulders with a smile

"Of course! You don't have to worry about anything anymore!"

Truly an idol personality. Always cheerful when the situation is right and always caring when someone is in trouble. I guess I really am lucky I had an encounter with someone like her.

The moving process only took a few hours. Since I don't know many things, the moving truck was barely half-full after all my belongings were moved into the truck.

"Ayanami-kun, please."

The driver that sent me home yesterday drove the same car and told me kindly to sit in the backseat with Kinai-san. The car ride there takes around 10 minutes. As soon as I stepped out of the car, I saw a house that is at least 50x larger than my apartment. It was way bigger than I imagined. I walked in the house and saw two staircases, both going to the second floor where it connected. Ten bedrooms each with a key already in the keyhole. The first floor consists of a large kitchen. I counted at least 20 chefs in the kitchen. The dining room has 10 seats with a big oval circle as the table. Additional rooms downstairs such as the movie room, board game room, bowling alley (these are just to name a few). The backyard consists of an olympic size pool with two slides. Four circle shaped jacuzzis around the pool. I was led to my room which was the third room on the second floor (of course Kinai-san's room is right next to mine). It took around an hour to move everything inside my room. There wasn't really much to move anyways as most of my belongings are clothes.

Night time finally came. I was able to pass the day by spending some time exploring the house with Kinai-san as she cheerfully grabbed me by the hand. The dinner consisted of a traditional Japanese dinner with a few selected dishes and of course, miso soup. After dinner, I took a shower and went straight to bed as I recall the recent events that led to this moment. I still can't believe saving a girl who I thought would have no more interactions with would eventually change my life this much. I truly am blessed. I don't know what else I would be experiencing later in this eventful lifetime, but I want to enjoy this life I have right now. As I started thinking about the things I might experience in the future, I didn't even realize I slowly drifted to sleep…
