Roxy's Declaration

"What did you say?!" Rowin looked at his daughter and then at his wife, unsure of what to say in this situation.

"I'm pregnant..." Roxy whispered with a blush spreading across her beautiful face.

Gilgamesh immediately noticed that she was lying, perhaps seeking her parents' compassion to make them understand her decision, but that didn't make sense. Smiling gently, he looked at Roxy's parents and said, "Age is not a problem. I have many ways to extend my lifespan, so rest assured that I will never leave this world before those who chose me as their partner. Besides, I promise that my love will be equal."

"Isn't my dear daughter enough?" Rokari asked Gilgamesh with a questioning expression.

"Mama..." Roxy wanted to stop her father, but she also wished to hear that answer from Gilgamesh's mouth.

Gilgamesh, who knew this was a trap, responded the next second, "I never knew about close relationships. Until a few years ago, I didn't know if I would ever have the opportunity to marry a woman in this life. My past struggles were bloody, full of misfortune, and I didn't have the chance to think about something like that... This time, I will become a king, one who will need a talented child and, at the same time, a pure mindset."

After saying that, Gilgamesh thought for a moment and continued, "If you're wondering about Roxy's value to me, you can rest assured as she is deeply in a part of my heart alongside Eris. Together, we have overcome many unimaginable challenges. Once I consider something a treasure, no one can take it away from me."

"With your permission, I truly hope to have your blessing, and that Roxy can alleviate all the grievances that have haunted her since childhood. She can finally understand them, she can talk to everyone else, so that is the greatest treasure in her life that I cannot see damaged by a misunderstanding of ideas. Immortality I can achieve; living a thousand, a hundred thousand, or even a million years is nothing to my eyes. I may be human in your eyes, but I can touch the sky so easily that becoming a God is just a tiny thing for me."

Not only were Roxy's parents surprised, but everyone who heard Gilgamesh's words fell silent because those who knew him knew that these words were true. Being a God is something that no one can achieve even if they are human; those self-proclaimed sword gods are mere servants of time and the human body, something that Gilgamesh rules in his life due to the divine blood that runs through his veins.

"With my right hand, I can crush the entire galaxy; with my left hand, I can give life to those who need it, and with a single glance, I can know all the secrets of antiquity." These were the simple words that described Gilgamesh as a man capable of everything but diminutive in terms of personal desires.

Rowin, who didn't have much to say, pointed out a very important point: "But you are still human, and my daughter is a Demon. Do you really think your kingdom would accept you marrying her?"

"The religions of this world repudiate demons, but I repudiate all religions... The world is changing, and everyone has noticed it, so you must be aware that a new war is approaching, and only those who remain standing will decide the truth from the lie." Gilgamesh didn't want to say it this way, but there was no other option. He had to make things clear and not have to expand his dominion into the demon continent.

"What does that have to do with what we are talking about?" Rokari was a kind woman, but when it came to her daughter's happiness, she couldn't hesitate.

"It means that this war will be the last after the great change, so you must know that this would affect everyone equally. I love Roxy, so as her man, I will protect her from all evil, no matter what others think. For that very reason, I will become an Emperor who leads the entire central continent without exception." Gilgamesh expressed that goal he had set some time ago.

"Does that mean..."

"Yes, if I am Emperor, I have the final say, so there will be no problem if someone says an unpleasant word about my wives. We will rarely appear in public, so those concerns you have should not be of importance in our relationship. I came for many more things here, but I will let you have a quiet conversation." Gilgamesh stood up and left with Eris, accompanied by Cunsfiel.

None of Roxy's parents said anything. They couldn't perceive it, but they knew that Gilgamesh was a man of solid character with determined principles. Right now, he was very considerate with them, showing the respect and love he had for their daughter.

As parents, what should they do?

They worried that their daughter would be hurt. After all, she had suffered a lot since childhood, and what they wanted most was the best for her future. As parents, that is their greatest responsibility.

After Gilgamesh walked away, Roxy clenched her hands tightly, not wanting to ruin the harmony they had gathered with her family. However, that desire was small compared to the question of what she wanted most.

"Roxy..." Rokari's voice sounded in a soft and very friendly tone, and now they were talking telepathically.

Lifting her head, Roxy looked at her parents, who were smiling so kindly as if they were not angry with her at all. This reassured her. Upon reflection, she now understands her parents and what they meant initially.

"Do you really love that man?" Rokari asked in a soft tone.

Roxy looked at her parents with a determined gaze and said, "After getting to know him, I learned to love myself more. I understood my worth, and the value I now give to my life is so great that it cannot be compared to anyone else. He helped me with the issue of my telepathic communication, takes care of me, and is determined to marry me. I've never received so much love from a man before, and what I feel from that is simple joy that cannot be extinguished by anything in this world."

"Does he love you?" Rowin asked this time, a bit more attentive.

Roxy paused for a moment with a look full of happiness that couldn't be hidden and said, "Yes, that's what I feel, and since I've known him, he has never lied to me. It's hard to put into words, but I believe I was always destined to choose him as my husband."

Upon hearing this, a smile appeared on the faces of Roxy's parents. They were now more at ease hearing this, but still knew that in the end, they could not prevent this under any circumstances. Like Roxy, they didn't want to ruin their hard-earned closeness with their daughter that took more than thirty years to achieve.

"So..." Roxy had nothing more to say, just hoping that her parents would give their approval to feel more secure and happy.

"We cannot interfere if that is what you desire. We are now more at ease knowing he is a man of principles and, above all, a future King. Not everyone is willing to go that great distance for a simple infatuation, so do what you desire most," Rokari finally said with a smile.

"Mama, Papa... I love you!" Roxy exclaimed, filled with happiness.

The family of three cried for a good while, talking about many other things that Roxy had experienced throughout her journey.
