Shikera wrapped her arms tighter around herself, trying to stop the cold wind from penetrating her thin night dress. The shawl she wrapped around her shoulders was already causing more harm than good as it kept flying in different directions as the wind blew.

Her ears perked up as they caught the sound of a car engine, making her look up to see the car Ethan had driven out earlier this afternoon, coming towards her.
