Adamantine

I have two arms,

both are blood, flesh, and bone.

Like any human

I take them for granted.

I don't notice them,

not in the personal sense.

They take physical space

but I don't acknowledge them;

They're part of me.

I have two arms;

One of blood, flesh, and bone,

and one of adamantine.

I need to adapt to this new arm.

I don't feel anything I touch for one year.

I have two arms;

One of blood, flesh, and bone,

and one of adamantine.

I experience every touch.

And I rarely use the adamantine arm.

An arm won't be taken for granted.

I won't lose another arm.
