Chapter Twenty Six: Catching up.

"Arthur, it's nothing really special; you should calm down, please."

Arthur shook his head, not buying his sister's explanation. "I know you, Elizabeth, and you can be impulsive at times. Please tell me you didn't strike up any silly deal with that bastard."

"Relax, brother, nothing of that sort happened," she smiled at him before reaching for his hands. "I know what I'm doing, alright."

"Do you still have feelings for him, Lizzy?"

"Arthur," her face contorted in a deep frown as she withdrew her hands from his. "How could you say such a thing? You think I've forgotten what happened to us, to our parents, our Kingdom?"

Elizabeth was visibly hurt that her brother would even think of uttering such a thing. She didn't have a lingering feeling for Nicholas; in fact, the only thing she wanted was to see him and his family destroyed.
