She paid to put a pill in your drink

Daniel stood frozen in the corner, his mind reeling from the revelation of the message on his phone. The weight of regret and remorse bore down on him as he realized the enormity of the mistake he had made.

For months, he had accused Emma of cheating on him, convinced that he knew the truth but he was slapped heavily in the face by the truth after almost two years.

With a heavy heart, Daniel took one last glance at Emma before he slipped out of the exhibition hall.

Emma's gaze lingered at the place Daniel had been standing about a second ago feeling quite perplexed but was pulled out of her thoughts when Rebecca approached her with a Vogue journalist, her eyes sparkling with interest.

"Miss Emma," the journalist began, extending a hand, "your work is quite extraordinary. Tell me, what inspires you?"

Rebecca's gaze met Emma's, a silent message of encouragement passing between them.
