Silver offered Zayne a tight-lipped smile, her gaze flickering away as she avoided his probing gaze.

"I have to go," she replied, her voice barely above a whisper.

But as she turned to leave, Zayne's hand shot out and grabbed her wrist, his grip firm.

"I know we both had fun last night. You can't just walk away like nothing happened," he said as he stroked Silver's arm with his thumb.

Silver jerked her hand away, her heart pounding in her chest as she struggled to maintain her composure.

"I believe we're both adults, Mr. Zayne and we knew what exactly we were getting ourselves into when we walked in here last night. It was just a fling. Nothing more." she replied curtly, her tone dismissive.

Zayne's smile faded, replaced by a dangerous glint in his eyes.
